Two months later Jake woke us up by knocking on our door.
"Huh who is it?" Jason asked.
"It's Jake, remember it's his birthday today." I said.
"Oh yeah." he got up and got dressed.
While he was getting dressed I opened the door and he ran in.
"Yeah today I get to go to Captain America"
"I know now let me and dad finish getting ready and then we can go get your friends."
"Ok."
He left and I went to go shower. While I was showering Jason got Anna up and made them breakfast. When I got out of the shower Everyone was ready to go.
"Um mom." Jake asked.
"Yes sweetie."
"I know we don't have enough tickets for the movie so I'm gonna let you go shopping instead."
"Really you'd do that for me?"
"Of course because I love you."
"Oh thank you baby."
"Anytime mommy."
He pulled away and ran to the car where Jason was. I texted Jason saying I wasn't coming, and to ask Jake why I wasn't and walked over to Anna's place to borrow her car.
"Hey Anna can I borrow your car. I'm gonna go shopping while Jake's at his birthday party."
"Of course I just need it back before 3 cause I have to go to a meeting."
"Ok I'll be back by then" I said.
I grabbed the car keys from her hand and ran downstairs. When I got in the car I turned the keys and it wouldn't start.
"What the..." I said.
I tried again and again and again. I finally just gave up and went back upstairs. I dropped the keys off and told her the car wouldn't start and walked back to our house. I ended up just going to the couch and taking a nap while they were at the movie. By the time I woke up it was 10 o'clock at night.
