As the cutie mark crusader trick-or-treaters began to head over to their treehouse, Prince Solaris said "Me? On vacation? On Hearth's Warming Eve?" "Where are we taking him?" Scootaloo asked. "Yeah, where?" Sweetie Belle asked. "To Discord, of course." Apple Bloom said "There isn't anywhere in the whole world more comfortable than that, and Dusk Shine said to make him comfortable. Didn't he?" "Yes, he did." Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo said at the same time."Haven't you heard of peace in Equestira and good will towards ponies?!" Prince Solaris asked. "No!" The cutie mark crusader trick-or-treaters said at the same time as they snickered, and made their way for their treehouse. At Abacus Cinch's house, Twilight Sparkle took out a large jug full of fog juice from the secret compartment in the floor of her bedroom, and said "This'll stop Dusk Shine." She then snuck past Abacus Cinch who was working on her creaton to replace Twilight Sparkle. As she placed half of her brain inside her creation's head, she said "What a joy to think of all we'll have in common. We'll have conversations worth having." She kissed the brain, and the lid on the creation closed shut as she yelped.

At the treehouse, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo snickered as they began to place Prince Solaris in the chute. "Don't do this!" Prince Solaris said. "Naughty foals never get any presents!" As the cutie mark crusader trick-or-treaters began to push Prince Solaris down the chute, Sweetie Belle said "I think he might be too big!" "No, he's not." Apple Bloom said. "If he can go down a chimney, he can fit down here!" With one final push, Prince Solaris went down the chute, and landed in Discord's lair. The spirit of chaos then emerged from the shadows, and said "Well, well, well. What have we here? Prince Solaris, huh? Oh, I'm really scared! So, you're the one everypony's talking about!" He cackled sinisterly as he tied Prince Solaris up to a hook, and placed a magical lock on his horn to keep him from using magic, and said "You're joking me! This can't be the right stallion!" "Release me fast, or you will have to answer for this heinous act!" Prince Solaris said. "It's hopless! You're finished! Cause, I am Discord the spirit of chaos, and you ain't going nowhere!" He then cackled sinisterly as the cutie mark crusader trick-or-treaters heard him from above the lair, and they snickered sinsiterly.

Later that night in the town square, the pony monsters were eagerly waiting for Dusk Shine to make an appearance while Dr. Whooves, Vinyl Scratch, and Octavia Melody played the Hearth's Warming Eve music. While none of the pony monsters were looking, Twilight Sparkle poured the fog juice into the fountain, and slipped into the crowd. Suddenly, Dusk Shine popped out of the sleigh, and they all applauded him. As Mayor Mare read the speech she wrote in a scroll, she said "Think of us as you soar triumphantly through the sky outshining every star. Your silhouette a dark blot on the moon, you who are our pride, you who are our glory, you who have frightened billions into an early grave." The fog started to kick in, and it spreaded all over quickly, make it it difficult for the mayor of Nightmare Night Town to read her speech as she said "You who have, eh...devastated the souls of the living?" Dusk Shine gasped, and said "Oh no! We can't take off in this! The reindeer can't see an inch in front of their noses!" Twilight Sparkle let out a sigh of relief as she muttered "Whew!" "This fog is as thick as...as..." Claude tried to say, but Bon Bon interrupted him as she said "Jelly brains!" "Thicker!" Jet Set said.

Dusk Shine sat back in his sleigh, and fell into complete dispair as he said "There go all my hopes, my precious plans, my glorious dreams." "There goes Hearth's Warming Eve." Diamond Tiara said as she and the other pony monsters started to cry. Just then, Winona went up to Dusk Shine as she barked at him. Dusk Shine sighed sadly as he said "No, Winona. Down girl." He then noticed Winona's glowing nose as he said "My, what a brilliant nose you have. The better to light my way! To the head of the team, Winona!" Winona went out in front of the skellington reindeer as the pony monsters cheered, and Dusk Shine said "We're off!" With the sound of the whip, Dusk Shine, and the skellington reindeer took off into the air as Twilight Sparkle said "Wait, Dusk Shine, no!" But it was too late, and Dusk Shine went away as he laughed, and the pony monsters cheered. As they walked away, Twilight Sparkle said "Goodbye, Dusk Shine. My dearest Dusk Shine. Oh, how I hope my premonition is wrong." She sighed sadly, and said "Will he and I ever end up together? No, I think not. It's never to become. For I am not the one."
