we all know those authors think they're the best.
like, these authors are everything. They're goddesses and gods. They frankly think that everyone is just their minions who will kiss their ass and read their books.
Like what.
A few of these authors have been in this phase before, but if they've come out of it, then you have my respect.
don't take your readers for granted.
these people actually want to read your books and are willing to use their time on your writing. Not everyone does that. Sure, you might be famous or something, your books might have become hits, but never forget to thank your readers. It's such a big turn off.
you don't have to thank them personally. With the overflooding notifications, or utter exhaustion, you might not feel like typing it something. But thank them and respond to a few comments.
At the end, we all are just people trying to get out writing noticed. Becoming a Wattpad star or having thousands of followers doesn't matter. You're just a person typing a few words on the internet and you put your effort into them. Appreciate your readers.
There are many people I know who've hit at least 1M in their books and get about 1k comments per update. But they reply. They thank their readers. They try their best to. If you guys do this, you're gems.
Without your readers, your books aren't anything. The fact that people acknowledge your book and try to read them is important. I hope I spread my message.
Adios.
