I was walking down a dark cold path.
The walls and ceiling were made of cement, the path was hard dirt.
I heard a noise and froze.
Footsteps faded and relaxed slightly.
Wait, this wasn't me.
I knew that this was a dream, but it wasn't.
I then I knew what it was.
Jason? I asked quietly.
He froze.
He looked over his shoulder.
I could feel the waves of terror course through my brothers body.
He shook it off and tatted walking again.
Every few steps he would check over his shoulder making sure nobody was following him.
Jason? I asked again.
He whipped around again.
His heart pounding loudly in his ears, body tense, ready to fight if needed.
"Who's there?" He called out.
No, shhh, Jason it's me, I told him.
Ash? He asked.
I nodded but then remembered he couldn't see me.
Yes, it's me.
Ashley!
He sounded so relieved to hear my voice.
Pain shot through my heart.
Jason, listen to me, you need to go back to the room, I told him.
He was confused.
What? Why? I got out of my cuffs, just like you taught me.
He sounded so proud of himself at that point.
That's a good job, Jason, it really was, but you need to go back.
I got free and had the chance to escape, so I took it. Why would I go back?
More confusion and a little panic.
Jason, listen carefully. If and when they find that you escaped, they will find you within seconds. Do not underestimate them, Jason. They're dangerous.
But who are they? He asked.
I promise Jason, that I will you tell you everything later, but right now, I need you to go back.
He hesitates at first, but then he turned around.
He walked through the tunnels and makes his way to the room he was being kept in.
There was a tray on the ground, by the cuffs attached to the cement wall.
Do I have to cuff myself back up? He asked.
I don't think you need to worry about that, I tell him. But you need to stay in that room, do you understand me?
I could feel the tears forming in his eyes.
He nodded.
Good. When they check in on you, don't try and run, and don't try and fight them. If you do, they may punish you.
Punish me? He gulped.
Yes, I said. Just do everything they tell you and you should be safe.
He nodded again.
Ash, when are you coming to get me?
Gilt wrenched my stomach. Mine, not his.
I'm coming, soon. I'm looking for you, I am. I even have some friends of mine helping me. It'll help if you could tell me about where you are.
He just shook his head slowly.
From what I've seen, I'm in a series of underground tunnels. They put something over my head so I couldn't see where we were going.
More guilt wretched my stomach.
I should have stopped that damn demon.
I should have stopped it before it got to him.
He shouldn't have to go through this.
Jason, you remember all those basic survival things I taught you?
He nodded.
Use what you can of those. I told him.
Use those and you'll stay safe.
A bang echoed through the room.
Jason whimpered and cowered in the back corner.
I could feel all the fear and panic going through him.
Ash, get here quick!
I will, Jason, I promise.
I love you, sis.
I love you, too.
The door to the room shot open and I was torn from Jason."NO!" I yelled sitting upright in bed.
Sam and Dean jumped up in a fighting pose at my sudden outburst.
"What?" Sam asked looking at me.
My head pounded intesly, as if it was trying to escape out of my skull.
I don't blame it.
All the emotions Jason had been feeling, rushed into my body, and guilt wrenched my stomach again.
It made me sick.
I got up from bed and ran to the bathroom.
I threw up in the toilet.
One of the guys came up behind me and held my hair back from my face.
After throwing up for a few minutes I flushed the toilet, closed the lid, and sat on it.
I held my hand against my mouth.
I was done, I just still didn't feel good.
A cup of water appeared in front of my face.
I looked up to see Deans worried look.
I took the water great fully.
I swished the water around my mouth then spit it out in the sink.
I took a couple sips but then if had to brush my teeth.
I bought a toothbrush while out getting clothes earlier, and now I'm really glad I did.
When I was done, I went back into the room and laid down on the bed b
I buried my head under the pillow.
"One of your nightmares?" Deans muffled voice met my ears.
"Yes," I said vaguely.
"Headache?"
"Yes," I said again.
A few minutes later, I felt the bed next to me sink down with the weight of someone.
"Do you want a beer to help with it?" Dean asked.
If my head wasn't hurting as much as it did, I would have laughed.
Only Dean would ask if I wanted a beer because of a headache. It was so Dean like.
"I don't drink," I said.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes, now fudge off," I said.
A few minutes later...
"Come on, come out," I heard Dean say.
"Fudge off," I said again.
"Do you want help getting rid of that headache or not?" He asked.
I pulled my head out from under the pillows and glared at Dean.
I was a very grumpy person with these headaches.
I think anyone would be.
I also wasn't in the mood to deal with anyone.
Not after what I just saw...and felt.
"Turn onto your back and close your eyes," He said.
When I didn't move he narrowed his eyes at me.
I finally turned into my back, but didn't close my eyes.
"Eyes. Closed," He said saying each word slowly.
I closed my eyes and then felt something cold and damp lay on my forehead.
I was about to open my eyes, but Dean must be a mind reader.
"Keep your eyes closed."
I stuck my tongue out at him and I heard him chuckle.
The rag was actually helping.
My headache wasn't as intense as before.
"Where did Sam go?" I asked a moment later.
"To get something's for your headache and no talking," He said.
I stayed quiet.
A few minutes later Sam walked through the door.
I sat up and the now dry slightly warm rag fell into my lap.
Sam handed me a bottle of Tylenol and a Mountain Dew.
It's no surprise what my favorite drink is.
I quickly opened and took two of the pills.
I laid back down and closed my eyes.
I felt the rag get picked up off my lap and then water running.
Next thing I know the cold damp rag is back on my forehead.
I stay there for about a half hour before my headache is finally gone.
I sit up and look at the guys.
"What time is it?" I asked
"Three in the morning," Sam said simply.
My jaw dropped.
"Ok, I kink of have an excuse," I say. "What's yours?"
They both look at me.
"We've been looking things up about the demon. We've also looked for other kidnapping that's happened in the area," Dean said.
"We don't really think there has been, but you never know," Sam added.
We all stayed quiet or a moment.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Dean asked softly.
I looked down at my hands that sat in my lap.
"It's getting stronger," I said vaguely.
"Your ability?" Sam asked.
I nodded.
"I was able to talk to him this time," I said.
"Jason?"
I nodded again.
"He managed to get the cuffs off and he was trying to escape."
Tears came to my eyes an I felt the guilt again.
"But I told him to go back and stay in the room."
I paused.
"I could feel all his emotions and hear all his thoughts. He was so confused and didn't understand. Not until I told him it was safer to stay where he was and that I was going to find him."
Another pause.
"We heard a door bang open and I could feel how scared he was. I never knew that much terror exsisted," I didn't realize my voice had gotten quieter and softer.
My lower lip quivered.
I took a deep breath and looked up at the guys.
They both looked sorry for me.
"I did get a little better idea of where he is, though," I said.
That made them perk up.
"He told me that he was in a series of underground tunnels," I said.
Sam started typing something on his laptop.
I got up and looked over his shoulder, at the laptop screen.
"The walls and the ceiling was made of cement," I added.
A few dozen results popped up, but one in particular caught my attention.
I pointed at the screen.
"This one," I told Sam.
He clicked on the link and it popped up.
"It says here that there's three different buildings that lead to a series of underground tunnels made to move supplies from building to another more easier," Sam said looking at the page.
"And all the buildings are abandoned," I said.
I looked up at Dean and over at Sam.
"Let's go," I said rushing over to my shoes.
"What?" Sam said.
"No, we'll wait until morning," Dean said.
"Since when do you guys hunt during the day?" I questioned putting my hands on my hips.
"That's the point," Dean said.
I raised an eyebrow at him.
"We don't want to hunt. Not yet," He said. "First, we need to check the buildings out. We need to make sure the tunnels are still opened, and we don't want to run into a demon while we do."
"Demons come out during the day," I told him irritably.
"Yes, but it's less likely," He said.
I didn't say anything.
"In the morning we'll split up and go to one of the buildings," Dean said creating the plan. "We'll check it out and we'll call one another to check to see if the tunnel is open or not. Then we'll get together and go down armed and ready."
"Sounds good to me," Sam said standing up from his seat.
"Doesn't sound good to me!" I said throwing my hands up dramatically.
Dean just shrugged and went to the fridge.
He grabbed a beer and tossed it to sam who caught it easily, then he grabbed one for himself.
I had one hand on my hip as I watched them.
Dean sat back down in his seat at the table and picked up his magazine.
He started flipping through it.
"Staring at us isn't going to make us change our minds," Dean said not looking over at me.
I dropped my hand from my hip and I saw his car keys sitting on the table next to him.
I walked over to him and snatched his and headed to the door.
"Wow, wow, wow," Dean said shooting up from his seat.
He only had to take a few strides until he was right behind me.
He took his keys from my hand and I turned around.
"And what do you think you were doing with my baby?" He asked.
I tried taking his keys, but he just held them over his head where I could reach them, even if I jumped.
He stared down at me.
"Why the hell do you have to be so tall?" I asked.
It's not like I'm short, I'm five foot eight, but the Winchester brothers were tall.
Dean stood at about six foot one where as Sam stood at about six foot four.
"So I can keep my keys out of reach of short people like you," He said with a smirk.
I quickly backhanded his stomach, which he wasn't expecting.
I didn't do it hard enough to hurt him, but just enough where he lowered his arm.
I snagged his keys from his hand.
I heard Sam laughing inside, while Dean grunted.
He tried taking the keys back again, but I whipped around and went to his Impala.
I opened the back up and propped the chest open.
"What are you doing?" Dean asked coming up behind me.
I grabbed his knife sharpener, closed the chest, then shut the trunk...which almost got Deans fingers.
"Watch it!" He said pulling his fingers back just in time.
"Don't get your boxers in a twist," I said grinning.
I turned my back on him and walked back into the room.
I sat down on the bed with my knives I had gotten from my house and started sharpening them.
I was completely entranced in watched my blades moving across the knife sharpener. It was slowly getting sharper and that's when I heard Dean whisper to Sam.
"If I didn't know her, I would be totally scared," His words floated over to me.
I grinned.
"You should be scared, shouldn't matter if you know me or not," I said not looking up.
I snuck a peek and saw Deans face fall and saw (and heard) Sam chuckle.
I saw Dean lean in towards Sam.
"It's also incredibly sexy," He said.
I almost dropped my knife onto my leg.
I pretended I didn't hear him, but I did.
I heard exactly what he said.
