I crept through my pitch black house.

All I could see is darkness, all light gone, no light from even the moon, as it was only a sliver in the dark sky.

I stayed in a crouch position as I walked.

I was ready for the attack.

I was ready.

I watched for moving shadows, though it was kind of difficult.

I saw something move to my right and I froze.

I more of sensed it then saw it, but either way something moved.

A strong smell of sulphur filled my nose.

The smell of sulphur usually didn't bother me, but this was strong, overwhelming, evil.

I watched carefully for more movement, but saw nothing.

Still, I didn't dare move a muscle.

I kept my breathing slow, steady, and quiet.

Suddenly lightning stroke down and lit up the room I was in.

That's when I saw it, staring at me, watching me, but then it went dark again.

Another strike of lightning and more light.

It was gone, or at least where I couldn't see it.

The smell of sulphur was still too strong for it to be gone, it was just hiding.

Darkness once more.

Something was different this time though.

I felt sudden heat behind me, and an orange glow slowly filled the room.

I whipped around to see a fire gradually growing bigger from downstairs. Smoke was traveling up, towards me, just like the flames.

Something banged in the master bedroom.

I ran towards the sound, but paused at the ajar door.

I haven't been in this room since...since the incident.

I took a deep breath and opened the door.

I took a few steps inside and found it standing on the ledge of the balcony, something clutched in his arms.

One last lightning strike and I saw what it was.

I once again froze.

This time it was pure fear.

It took one step then jumped over the balcony wall.

"Jason!" I screamed.

I woke up, screaming from the nightmare.

Only I wished it had been a nightmare.

After I calmed my breathing-and my heart rate-I wiped the tears from my eyes and stood up.

I took a quick shower and got dressed.

I made sure I made the bed real neatly and made sure there was no evidence of any type left behind, and slowly opened the door to the hotel room I broke into last night.

There was a maid cart outside the door next to mine, thankfully the maid was in the room.

The door was opened.
