Chapter 58

*Few Days Later* 

Alicia's POV 

I wiped the sweat off of my forehead and saw Brendon and Sarah holding their newest addition to their family in bed. You wonder what happened. Let's go back in time to a few hours ago. 

*14 Hours Ago* 

Conor and I are in bed watching TV. Fletcher in in his room sleeping peacefully.  "I missed you," he told me. 

"I know," I replied. I just got back from England two days ago. I looked out the window and saw it was raining. Hopefully it doesn't start to pour down. I heard my phone ringing and I turned over to my night stand to get it. 

A- Hello? 

B- Alicia I need your help! 

A- Brendon what's wrong? 

B- Sarah's going into labor.  

"Brendon," I could hear her in the background. 

A- Okay, I'll be there as soon as I can. 

I hung up the phone and got out of bed. "What does Brendon need?" Conor asked. 

"Sarah's going into labor, I'm not sure how long I'm going to be there. Just take care of Fletcher. I'll see you soon. Love you," I pecked his cheek. I grabbed the car keys and my phone. I walked into Fletcher's room and kissed his forehead. I headed downstairs and looked out of the window. Damn it's about to pour. I get into the car and drove to their house. The door as opened. I got here just in time, now it's pouring.  

"Sarah, Brendon?" I called them. The dogs ran up to me and I petted them for a little bit. 

"Up here," I heard Brendon. I headed upstairs and headed into their room. 

"Hey," I took off my jacket and helped out Sarah. 

"Oh this hurts," Sarah told me. I nodded. 

"Okay how long has she been in labor?" I asked Brendon. 

"Like almost three hours ago," he replied. I nodded and I tied my hair up. 

"Okay get a rag and put it under cold water," I told him. He nodded and started to do what I told him. 

"Just breath," I told Sarah. She nodded and continued to breath. Brendon came back and handed me the rag. I put it on her forehead and looked out the window. 

"Okay there's no way we can go to the hospital now. The roads are probably closed now," I told him. I looked at my phone and saw there was a notfication that the roads are closed. "Yeah, they're closed. The roads better be open as soon as possible or the baby's gonna be born here." I got up and went to my phone. 

A- Hey not gonnabe back home soon, roads are closed xx 

C- Okay, I'll see you soon xx

I finished texting Conor and decided to call my mom. She used to work in this field. She can probably give me some tips. While I was calling her, I took down notes on what to do. I hung up and walked towards them. "Okay Sarah, try to stand up," I told her. She nodded and she tried to. Brendon and I helped her up. 

"Well I called my mom and she suggests that you should walk around, get the baby moving,"  I told her. She started to walk back and forth in the hallway. 

"Oh my god this hurts," she groaned in pain. 

"Hey, hey just breath," Brendon told her. 

"Shut up Brendon, you're the one that got me into this mess," Sarah snapped. Brendon raised his arms in defeat. I was trying not to burst out laughing. 

"Oh get used to this for a few hours," I patted Brendon on the back. 

*Few Hours Later* 

Brendon and I are at the kitchen table drinking some coffee while Sarah's getting some rest. "Wow, I can't believe this is happening," Brendon placed his cup back on the table. 

"I know, you're life is going to chagne for real but it's a good change," I told him. 

"How so?" he asked. 

"Well after many hours of labor, you get to have this little human that has both of our guy's genes. Everyday you get to see the changes they go through. For me and Conor, since the day he was born, he changed so much. He was just a little nine pound baby that's now four months old and he's getting his teeth," I replied. He nodded.

"I'm just nervous," he admitted. 

"Why?" I asked. 

"What happens if I mess up," he replied. 

"Brendon, all of us mess up. That's what makes us human. When Conor first changed a diaper, he put it on the wrong way. It's olay to mess up," I reasured him. He nodded.

"Oh my god," we heard Sarah from the room. The both of us sprinted to the room and headed in. 

"What happened?" I asked. 

"It's time," she replied through pain.  My eyes widened and I got all of the things I need. 

"Okay, Brendon hold her hand," I told him. I checked if it was time and it is. 

"Okay, Sarah, Brendon ready to be parents?" I looked at them. The both of them nodded. 

"Sarah push," I told her. After a couple of pushes, Sarah laid down on the bed.

"I can't do this," she panted. 

"Come on you can do this," Brendon kissed her forehead. Aw that's cute. 

"Come on Sarah, just one more push. Your baby girl will be here as soon as you know it," I told her. She nodded and gave one more push. Their baby came out and started to cry. I placed her on Sarah's chest and the both of them started to tear up. 

"You wanna cut the cord?" I asked Brendon. He nodded and I told him where to cut it. The rain started to clear up and the amblulance came just in time. 

"You got the dogs right?" Brendon asked me. 

"Yes I do and congrats," I hugged him. 

"Thanks," he thanked me. 

"No problem," I let go. Brendon went into the ambulance with Sarah and I got the dogs on their leashs. I got their bowls and food and got them into my car. I drove back home and let the dogs go. 

"Conor I'm back," I placed my keys on the table. I saw Conor walking downstairs with Fletcher. 

"Here's Mommy," he handed me Fletcher. 

"Hi baby," I kissed Fletcher. 

"Hey what abou tme?" Conor asked. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. I pecked him on the lips and sat down on the couch. 

"So what happened?" Conor asked. 

"Well I thought that I was going to be there for a few hours but it turned to me delivering their baby," I replied. "Don't worry nothing bad happened. She's healthy." 

"Well I bet you're hungry, I ordered some food," he told me. I nodded and I started to eat the food he ordered on the couch with my little family.
