Chapter 65

*Few Weeks Later* 

Alicia's POV 

"You guys are fine back there?" I asked Jema and Jack. 

"Yeah," they replied. The five of us, me, Conor, Jack, Jema, and Fletcher, are going to Jema and I's hometown for Thanksgiving. 

"Okay," I started driving. "How did your guy's parents react about your guy's engagment?" 

"You know my parents, what do you think?" Jema laughed. 

"Your Mom screamed?" I looked at her in the rearview mirror. 

"Yep, she's so happy, also my dad," she replied. 

"What about your guy's mom?" I asked Conor and Jack. 

"She's happy, Dad's happy and they're wondering when you and Conor are getting married," Jack replied. 

"I don't know," I replied. Conor and I talked about marriage but not that much. 

"Same, we're taking this a wedding at a time," Conor told them. 

"We're going dress shopping right?" I asked Jema. 

"Yep, my mom already set the appointment," Jema replied. I nodded and continued driving. 

*Few Hours Later* 

I stopped driving to get lunch. We stopped by a cafe that's by a lake. We already ate so we decided to walked around the lake. "You know that you're like a sister to me, right?" Jema asked. 

"Yeah, we're like sisters," I replied. 

"So I was wonder if you could be my maid on honor," she told me. 

"Oh my gosh, yes," I agreed and hugged her. We headed back to the car and started driving.

*Few Hours Later* 

We're finially at our hometown. All of us checked into the hotel and headed to our room. All of us freshened up and headed to dinner. We already called our parents that we're here and we're meeting them up for dinner. "Mom, Dad," I hugged them. 

"Alicia," they hugged me. 

"Aw Fletcher," Mom took him from me. 

"Hey Conor," they hugged him. I hugged Jema's parents also. 

"So should we head in?" Jema's mom asked. 

"Sure," all of us agreed. We headed in the restaurant and saw down. Conor put Fletcher in the high chair and sat down next to me. All of us ordered and ate. 

"I'll see you tomorrow," I hugged my parents. We headed in the car and headed back to the hotel. 

*Next Day* 

Jema and I got ready for her dress appointment. "I can't believe you're getting married," I told her. 

"I know right," she agreed. "In a few months, I'll be Mrs. Jack Maynard."  

"Bye babe," I kissed Conor on the cheek. 

"Bye baby," I kissed Fletcher's cheek. The both of us headed to the car. I punched in the address and drove to the shop. We got there and saw some friends there. 

"Oh my gosh, can we see?" Karsen asked. Jema showed them the ring and all of them looked at it. 

"It's beautiful," Jema's mom said. We walked in the shop and a woman greeted up. 

"Hi, I'm Megan and I'll be helping you guys out," Megan told us. 

"Okay, whose the bride?" Megan asked. 

"Me," Jema answered. "Wow I never though I would say that." 

"It's fine, I get a lot of brides saying that," Megan laughed. 

"Okay, just browsed around and if you find anything, call me," Megan asked. All of us look at the dreses. 

"What style are you looking for?" I asked her. 

"I like off shoulder dresses," she replied. I nodded and I looked through. 

"What about this?" I asked her. 

"That looks nice," she replied. We got some more dresses and she tried them on. 

"What about this?" she came out of the room. 

"Oh my gosh," I saw her in the dress and almost teared up. 

"You look amazing baby girl," her mom teared up. 

"Aw Mom, stop, you're gonna make me cry," Jema hugged her. She went back to the fitting room with Megan. She tried on the second dress. After a few more dresses she found the one. 

"This it the one," she looked at herself in the mirror. 

"You sure?" Megan asked. 

"Yep," she smiled. I've never seen my brest friend this happy since she got together with Jack. He really makes her happy. 

A- You should see your girlfriend right now. 

J- Why? 

A- She's smiling like a motherf**ker. You really make her happy. 

J- Send me a picture. 

A- Can't. 

J- Why? 

A- Becuase she's wearing her wedding dress for your wedding. 

J- Please? 

A- Nope :p

I turned off my phone and saw that she got the dress. "Can you protect this, until a few days for the wedding?" she asked her Mom. 

"Yep," she replied. The both of them  hugged and her mom took the dress. 

"Do you think we're going to fast?" she asked. 

"No, you're not. Some couples take a while to plan and some couples take a couple months. Besided you planned for your day since sixth grade," I laughed. 

"I know, I'm surprised that he agreed on my idea," she laughed. We headed in to the car and drove back to the hotel.
