This is a hugely late update (if hugely was a word lol) But I will be writting more now and hopefully I will get this done by the end of this summer :) I know this is a short chapter and I hate writing fillers so just bear with me.

Happy reading :)

CHAPTER 7

SOTTO LA LUNA

Turns out their way of playing truth or dare was completely different from the original version. The opposite person decides whether he gives a dare or asks a question and not the other way around. Obviously since I didn't know the rules of their version I never answered Nick's question so he explained it to me and then eventually gave me a dare instead.

The question got me flustered and I could feel my cheeks getting warmer. Honestly I didn't know how would I have even answered, when I didn't know the answer to that one myself!

After truth or dare and a couple more childish games we decided to call it a night and return to our rooms.

When we were done saying our good nights, I started walking towards my room with a smile on my face. It was a really fun night and I hadn't laughed that much in years. Just then I felt a hand on my shoulder and I jumped in surprise.

"Woah relax. It's just me." Nick spoke softly.

"Don't sneak up on me like that. EVER."

"Sorry didn't mean to startle you"

*sigh* "It's alright."

We stood there in silence, I didn't really know anything else to say and this was getting awkward.

"Sooo... You wanted to talk about something or...." I trailed off.

"Oh yea umm I was wondering if...I mean I wanted to show you something that I think you'd like. If you're not too tired would you mind joining me on the roof?"

"On the roof???" my eyebrows rose up in surprise. "Lead the way" I smiled.

He started walking towards the end of the hall and I followed him. I honestly had no idea which way lead to the roof and I was wondering how he knew. He stopped in front of the balcony and held open the doors. The cold breeze hit me and I suddenly regretted not wearing warmer clothes.

I gave Nick a questioning look. He held up his finger and signaled me to wait. Then he pulled down one of those drop down ladders.

"Ladies first" he motioned with his hand.

I started up the ladder and when I got to the end I gasped. I heard him chuckle from behind.

"Go on. It gets better"

I now stood on the roof and the view was breathtaking. Rome glistened and shimmered as far as the eye could see. A sigh escaped my lips.

"Beautiful isn't it?" I jumped up in surprise as Nick's breath tickled my neck.

"Don't do that! I swear you're going to give me a heart attack."

Nick let out a low chuckle. He went over to what seemed like two sleeping bags and switched on a lamp. Everything was more illuminated now and those were in fact two orange sleeping bags. I gave Nick a questioning look.

"You want to spend the night under the starry sky tonight my lady" He said in an obviously exaggerated British accent with his hand held out.

I giggled at that but took his hand nonetheless. I sat down opposite to him cross-legged.

"So how'd you discover this place? And the sleeping bags....?"

"Let's just say, I have my sources." He winked at me.
