35. Sorry

Hoseok comes home late at night tired and sees that his wife has been waiting for him.

Sumi runs to the door as soon it opens and smiles at him widely. Hoseok flashes her a small smile before he walked to the couch and collapses on it.

He sighed heavily and closed his eyes with his head against the headrest.

"uhm.Hoseok?"

He looked at her and lifted an eyebrow.

"There's no food left for Mickey. Can you please buy some?"

"Oh, yeah sure" He puts on his jacket and leaves again.

Hoseok groans while stretching his body. He's been working all day without a break and his body is killing him.

He went out to buy food for Mickey but he did not come back even though it's already midnight.

Sumi panics and goes out to look for him. She runs all over the streets searching for him but doesn't find him anywhere. Tears form at the brim of her eyes remembering her mom. This is the same way her mom left her. She has gone out a night but didn't come back and now Sumi is scared that something like this happened to Hoseok too.

No..please..please be safe.

It starts raining but she doesn't care.

"HOSEOK-AH"

Sumi screams his name while falling to her knees with tears running down her cheeks. She bangs her fist on the ground.

Someone taps on her shoulder from behind and she slowly turns back to see Jimin drenched in rain.

Jimin bends down and looks at her shocked for the state she is in.

"Sumi? What happened? What's wrong?!"

"Ho-Hoseok..he didn't come back" her voice cracks.

"He didn't come back" She repeats and starts crying loudly.

He pulls her into his chest and hugs her to calm her down. With his hand supporting her head, he pats her back not saying anything.

She clutches onto his shirt tightly and cries in the crook of his neck.

"Bring him..bring him back please"

When Hoseok was walking, he sees a couple of kids playing on their own at the end of the street. They play very happily but a bike loses its balance and hits the girl. She cries in pain but there's no one to help except the little boy who was playing with her.

Hoseok runs to the nearest hospital while carrying her and admits the kid. He takes care of the formalities while waiting for her family. He wants to call Sumi but doesn't have his phone so he borrows it from a lady at the hospital. Hoseok calls her but she doesn't answer as she left it in the home.

Jimin is there at that time of the night since he wanted to hang out with Hoseok. He wanted someone to hear him out and drink a beer but didn't expect something like this would happen.

Sumi's mind goes blank and she feels very weak after all that screaming so Jimin carries her home and places her on the bed. She's drenched but he can't change her clothes.

Jimin groans in frustration and walks out of the room. While waiting in the living room, he calls Hoseok's phone but feels the vibration near his Butt. He picks the phone from under the pillows on the couch.

Soon after, Hoseok comes home and is shocked to see Jimin.

"Where were you?!" Jimin screams.

Hoseok tells him everything and Jimin replies saying about Sumi's situation.

"I'll meet you tomorrow" Jimin sighs.

Hoseok rushes to Sumi and tears form in his eyes.
It isn't his fault but he blames himself for putting her in that condition.
She must be so scared.

After watching the clothes on her body, he brushes her hair and places a towel on her body. Hoseok doesn't want to do this without her permission but he can't let her freeze. He picks a simple dress and puts it beside her.

Looking away from Sumi, he removes her top and pants before dressing her.

With her hand in his, Hoseok stay's beside her until she wakes up.

"Sumi? Sumi are you alright?"

Sumi hugs him tightly whilst tugging on his shirt.

"Please.. please don't leave me alone" her face rests against his chest and her soft sobs leave Hoseok sadder. He hugs her back with his head on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry Sumi, I'm so sorry"
