I slowly crawled to the door, flicking on the light to see who it was. The bell rang again. I was about to open the door but then the door knob began to rattle. I crawled back in fear.

————————————————————

The door shook as the other person began to slam themselves into it. With each hit my breathing hitched. My fingers tips trembling with each loud bang. After a few moments the banging stopped. I ran to the kitchen to grab a knife.

I slowly walked back to the living room and waited. After watching many horror movies, you learned to defend yourself or at most try to run to the nearest car and get out. Ain't no body getting me today. I am too young to die!

I quickly opened the door, lunging it open. I was ready to jump on a intruder and attack. As I jolted out ready to hurt someone, no one was there. Complete darkness, no human insight.

"What the hell..." it was never this dark.

The sky lit up bolts, clouds swirl, and winds whipped against my warm cheeks. There was not supposed to be a storm tonight. I ran back inside as the winds got stronger, whipping harshly through my long brown locks. I shut the door behind me, locking it.

"That was the weirdest shit..." I mumbled to myself. I slid against the door pressing my head to the door. I sat there trying to relax and get my racing heart back to normal. My eyes grew heavy and I drifted off to fall asleep. The silence of the night, made me weaker with each passing minute. I laid down, pressed against the wooden door resting.

I was washing some dishes from yesterday and my phone began to ring. They're just going to have to wait. As I washed the muck from the burnt pan the ringing soon stopped. After a few moments I heard the doorbell go off.

"Let me in! I need help!" Eric cried through the door. The doorbell kept ringing.

I rushed to the door. "Oh my gawwwd! I'm coming!" I whined. I opened the door wiping my wet hands on my shirt.

"What do you want?"

"I need help." He pleaded, flying his head back.

"With what?" I asked once again.
I leaned my back against the door frame.

"I need help buying some stuff." He huffed out. "Buying what?" I respond. "Food and my mom a gift." He said.

"Why can't you do it." I say before squinting my eyes. "Alone."

"You know I'm not good at these kind of things." He pleaded. He looked even more dumb as he wore his big puppy dog face.

"Fine!" I finally gave in. His eyes lit up with joy. After taking care of my chores, we headed to his truck.

We came back to his house to unload the truck. I swear he just purposely took forever. We had been out for like 5 hours, it was already 6. I jumped out, my feet landing in mud.

"Damn it!" I yelled out. Eric's face grew with concern. "What?" He questioned. He walked around the truck and began to laugh. "You dumbass!" He breathed out from the tears of laughter. I rolled my eyes, grabbing some bags heading to the door. I held the door open. His slow ass was taking forever once again.
