Achilles POV

Me and Leo walked into the dim lit room. My eyes glared down at a lifeless body of Seprina. She was laid down on the grey sheets of the bed. Her wounds seeping out blood, leaking down her white tinted skin. I could no longer hear her weak breath being pushed out of her lungs. I stood there, staring at her empty shell.

The excruciating pain punctured my heart. I felt the evil within me start to crawl it's way to me again. I could feel his pain and anger scream through my mind. The agony was unbearable. My eyebrows furrowed together, my eyes squeezed shut. I fell to my knees clutching on to the back of my head, he was trying to come out.I felt Leo's hand fall upon my shoulder.

"Control yourself." Leo spoke.

His words were simple. Continuing on, Leo walked along side the bed. He stood over Seprina's corpse, his words were unclear. I stumbled towards Seprina, kneeling down next to the bad. I reached out for her limp cold hand, rubbing her palm. I placed my head down, burying my head in the covers. I squeezed her hand tighter, tears tainted my cheeks. I looked up, meeting my eyes to see her healed wounds. I tugged her hand to my heated cheek, weight lifted off my heavy heart.

Her hands felt warm, blood pumped through them once again. I heard her breath, it was strong and steady. I once again felt like myself.

"There you go sir. Seprina will live, but do not push your limits. She is weak and needs to heal."

A shaky smile appeared on my face.

"Thank you Leo."

"Sir, I do mean not to test her limits. I can not always save her from death. She is only human. She is not one of us."

" I patently know this. I know I-"

"Then be watchful of her then. Do not let that ripper inside yourself dictate your actions. That is why she is in this condition, isn't it? Because of it?"

"You are not wrong Leo, my dear friend. Your words will be taken in consideration, but you do not know the troubles that come with this curse."

Leo took a step away from Seprina, walking towards the door. His shoes clanked against the wooden glossy floors smeared with blood. He put his left foot out of the room before pausing. Standing beside the wooden door frame, Leo then turned his head back towards me.

"Achilles, I may not have the curse, however, I have indeed seen the hold it takes on the blood line. I know of what it does to the people of your family. I do not want to see you being one of them. Do not take my words inconsideration, take them as a prime concern. Goodnight sir."

Leo closed the door behind him before leaving, his steps slowly faded away in the sense of silence. I stroked her small hand with my thumb. So soft, so sweet and so pure. Her face was warm in color as it once was. I let go of her warm hand, getting back on my feet.

Heading to the corner of the room, I lifted a solid wooden chair to the side of bed. Placing the chair down as carefully as I could, the wooden floor still creaked clamorously. The walls and floor were very aged, the floors creaky and walls chipped. I sat down in the carved wooden chair. I hunched over the bed lying my head down on the bedding. My hands laid under my head, my head was running with things on what I was going to tell her once she woke up.

Was I to tell her the truth or to hide her from the truth? I knew she would have my questions, however how was I supposed to tell her of what has happened to her? My stomach felt uneasy as these overwrought thoughts went through my mind. What am I going to do? What do I tell my dear Seprina?

I scrunched my eyebrows together, my worries were getting the best of me. I tightened my hands as I thought of a compromise to what I was going to do. The bed shifted, lifting my head up I saw Seprina changing her position to lay on her side. Her blood was still spotted on her clothes and skin.

I stood up out of the chair, heading to the bathroom. I grabbed a white cloth, dipping it in soap and water. I carried a clay bowl that was placed in the cabinet under the sink. I filled the brim with water and soap. Walking back to the bed, I saw Seprina was back to her original position.

I placed the bowl on the chair, dipping the cloth in to it, soaking it with water and soap. Taking the rag out of the water, I put it on Seprina's skin, wiping away the dried clump blood on her arms. I repeated the process until I made my way up to her neck. Her neck warm and pulsing with blood, but yet covered in crimson. I brushed the warm cloth on her neck, the rag soaked the red off her neck. Dipping the rag back in the now tinted water, cleaning out the dried blood. Dragging the cloth out of the water, I laid it against her chin.

She looked so beautiful lying there. I swiped the blood off her forehead, cleaning it out of her hair line. Gently pressing the rag against her cheek and softly dragging it down. Her dried lips were painted with dried crimson. I swiped the damp rag across them, bringing moisture back, they had returned to their plush pink color. They looked so soft and warm.

I wanted to take her right then and there, but I knew it was not the right time yet. As she took her breaths, air leaving and returning to her lungs, my gaze didn't leave her sight. She was at peace with the world, not worrying of what may come of it. However, all I could do was worry. I did not want to lose her. To lose the only person who can truly fulfill me. To put a monster at bay.
