Promise (Sasuke x reader)

After closing the door you turn towards the stairs.
"The Hyūga is in love with you" you jumped back eyes searching the darkness trying to locate the voice. "Is there something going on between you two?" His figure emerges through the darkness into the light coming from the window
"Sasuke? W-hat are you doing here?" He closes the gap between the both of you "I came here to make sure you were at home safe" he tucked your hair behind your ear " but you hadn't arrived yet so I came in through the window, then I heard you talking to him" he narrowed his eyes
"Neji does like me" You look up at him, his eyes were closed probably trying to calm himself down "but there's no need to worry, he knows I'm with you and I only have love for you"  he let out a sigh "good because if not" he forms a Chidori in his hand "woah Sasuke! No need to fight" the Chidori vanishes you look at him wide eyed. 'You wouldn't want to see Neji and Sasuke in the same room, who knows how Sasuke will act?' You shiver at the thought
"(YN) it's really late, you should get some sleep you'll be up early tomorrow" he kisses your cheek
"What's happing-" his lips cut you off, he lifts you up carrying you to your bedroom. Laying you down on the bed you clutch onto his shirt deepening the kiss. "(YN) I have to go" your grip tightens not wanting him to leave "I want you to stay please" you let go "I can't, Im still being monitored by the Hokage" he gets up "I'll see you in the morning " he walks out closing the door quietly.

Morning
You picked out a cute outfit, you weren't sure what Sasuke had planned or when he would arrive so you got up extra early which wasn't easy. It was 8am and you made your way down stairs, as you made it to the last step the door bell rang. You opened it up "morning Sasuke" you hugged him, "morning (YN)" planting a kiss on your lips "let's go" you walk with him, hand in hand "what are we doing today?"
"I want to take you out to eat breakfast and then after we can do what ever you like" He gives you side glance and smirks
So many different scenarios play through your mind
Your face going red "thinking of something dirty (YN) " he raised an eyebrow smiling.
You were now outside of the breakfast restaurant he opens the door for you and you both were seated.
You both ordered
"I forgot to tell you yesterday, Karin will be arriving today she'll be staying at my compound since she doesn't have her own place to stay yet" you hadn't forgotten about her, and also the way she described him being very hot.
"Sasuke I want to ask you something...about Karin" he took a sip of his coffee " I've met Karin, did you two ever you know.." your food had arrived and Sasuke still hadn't answered your question, his silence made you wonder if something really did happen between them. Maybe he had feelings for her? How close were they? "(YN)..look don't worry about her, nothing serious happened between us, we weren't in love or anything" he continued to eat. 'Nothing serious?' That meant they did do something, you were so lost in thought you forgot your food had arrived. "(YN) eat or the food will get cold" you nodded, still thinking of what kind of relationship they had.
After you both finished you decide to go back to the Uchiha compound. You hadn't said anything the entire walk, just the thought of Karin kissing him made your stomach drop.
And now that she was staying at his place you not only had to worry about Sakura but Karin too.
The compound door was already open so you guessed she was already there. Walking down the hall you both stoped at the room opposite to Sasuke's.
Before you could open the door Karin jumped out landing on Sasuke "Sasuke!!! Your back" you pushed her off him because she was not about to be all over your man. "Ohh it's you (YN) from the bath house what are you doing with my Sasuke" she looked you up and down. You were getting annoyed "your Sasuke? Do you want me to beat your ass again" you bawled your fist up
"Okay Karin that's enough!" Karin stepped back
"(YN) is my girlfriend so be respectful" Sasuke snaked his arms round your waist, Karin had a disappointed look on her face, but you couldn't care less, as long as she knew not to overstep her boundaries everything would be fine.
"I understand Sasuke, I'll continue unpacking" Sasuke opened his room door Karin looked at you with a small smile. What was she planning? You still couldn't trust her.

You relaxed onto the bed, Sasuke lay next you. "Sasuke I know your not in love with her but I need to know what kind of relationship you had with her" Sasuke sighed " at first it was because of her special abilities that I asked her to team up with me, and then one day I gave in to her and-" you sat up, they were definitely intimate.

He placed a hand on your shoulder "(YN) please do not be angry with me, you have to understand it didn't mean anything" you felt like crying, you couldn't be that mad since you and Sasuke weren't together but the thought of him and her going that far..Sasuke moved in front of you lifting your chin up. "(YN) I promise it meant nothing and I will never do anything like that with her again" he embraces you. Nothing he can say would make you feel better "why does she have to stay with you?" He rest his head on yours "she's saved my life many times, the least I can do is give her a place to stay"
"Fine.." you drifted off to sleep in his arms.

Sasuke POV
"She must be tired" I laid her head gently on the pillow, she shifted slightly. I opened the door quietly and walked to the kitchen. "Sasukeee?" I knew it could only be Karin calling me in that tone. She wrapped her arms around my torso resting her head on my back "thank you for letting me stay with you" she swung round still clinging to me "I can repay you in any way you like~" was she really going to act like this knowing damn well I'm with (YN) "you don't need to repay me at all" she smirked, her hands traveled to the buttons on my shirt "are you sure Sasuke-kun cause I know exactly how to repay you" she proceeded to unbutton my top. "Stop! I'm not playing any games with you Karin!" I removed her hands from my shirt "Sure.." she giggled disappearing into her room
I sighed running my hands through my hair "what to cook for (YN)?"..

Back to you

Your awaken by a delicious smell you lazily follow it
You sat at the table admiring the view of Sasuke cooking!
"Sasuke what tasty meal are you cooking?" He lifts his head from the pot.
"Something simple, I know Itachi...would be proud that I'm even attempting to cook" you smiled knowing how much he looked up to his elder brother, you didn't know exactly what happened between them. "Well it smells good can't wait to eat!" He chuckles "alright" he brings the food to the table. "Ahhh Sasuke it looks soo good" you tuck in straight away, he watches you "you like it ?"
You nod happily. By now it was late in the evening, after you ate you and Sasuke sat on the couch.
Karin came out of her room "Sasuke did you leave some for me?" "Yeah" He calls out from the couch she grabbed her food and went back to her room.

*knock knock*

Sasuke gets up to answer the door, you walk behind him. "Sasuke the Hokage wants to see you..Ahh (YN) your here too?" You move closer to the door "Kakashi-sensei?" You could tell he has a mischievous grin underneath his mask, probably imaging you and Sasuke are doing something from that dirty book he always reads.
"Didn't know you two were..anyway since your both here head to the Hokage's office"
At the Hokage's office Sakura and Naruto were already there.
"Alright Sasuke and Naruto you are on a mission, it may take you a couple days, there has been an increase in kidnappings in one of the local villages. Investigate and stop them" Tsunade turned her head to you "(YN) you and Sakura are going to be taking care of Karin, I know you guys have met before so it should be easy for you to get along" of all people she had to pick you! Why couldn't Sakura do this on her own ?
Sakura looked at you blankly "Sasuke, Naruto head out first thing tomorrow morning" everyone existed the office. Sasuke held your hand "I shouldn't be gone long" you squeezed his hand "I know -" Sakura interrupts "(YN) tomorrow meet me by Ino's flower shop at 9" she glanced at you and smiled at Sasuke as she walks off.
"Your gonna leave me with her and Karin..I'm doomed" you sighed "have fun" he laughs

Sasuke walked you home "I'm going to miss you" his lips press against yours. "I miss you already" you passionately kiss back, his hand encircled your back moving you closer to his.
"I'll see you when I come back" He let's go and you watch as walks down the street.
