She stared at me blankly, not believing the offer I had put on the table, but it wasn't really even an offer, it was an order wrapped up really pretty to appear as a present. I was in no way going to let her walk back to her house, it was too far in this cold weather. If I had to carry her out of the bar bridal style to get her up to my flat, I'd do it. If you were in a situation where someone is insisting on doing something that would surely kill them and you could do something to prevent it, would you? I think that it would be inhumane not to. I mean, if you can do something about it but don't and the person ends up dying, you could be considered a murderer because you could have done something to save their life but chose not to.
"No," She responded weakly in a barely audible voice, trying to seem strong and get me to back off but failing.
"I will carry you out of this bar and up to my flat if I need to," I commented as I tightened my grip on her arm, she trying to wriggle free but I couldn't let happen. I wasn't going to let her little stint of stupidness kill her.
"I would love to see you try," She snapped angrily, breaking out from the soft and shy persona she had temporarily adopted into trying to get me to give in and let herself freeze to death. I was trying not to get angry at her because she'd never let go of it but it was not as easy as I had hoped.
"Then I will," I replied as I tugged hard on her arm and scooped her up in my arms in the same fashion as a man would his bride through the threshold of their new house.
"Put me down!" She shouted as I quickened my pace towards the door, she flailing her arms and legs around, demanding that I set her back on her feet, but we both know that I'm not putting her down until she's either in the living room of my flat, or has agreed that she won't run off. I ignored her request and continued walking out.
The chilly breeze hit me like a knife to the chest, unexpected and somewhat surprising even though I suspected it to be cold. I felt Bo shudder, the crisp air taking her by surprise also.
"Can you please put me down?" She asked in a much calmer fashion and not in a childish tantrum way like she had the last time she requested.
"You won't run away now, will you?" I questioned, slowing my pace down slightly. I felt like I was talking to a 3 year old when I asked her this. She shook her head very slightly. I shifted my eyebrow in a way that showed that I wasn't sure if I should believe her or not.
"I promise I won't," She muttered. I honestly believed that she was being true so I gave her a slight nod and put her down on her feet. Thank goodness there wasn't anyone out with a camera wandering the streets at midnight or this would have been awkward for both of us. She flashed a small smile of gratitude then tilted her head up and looked up at the sky. She stared at it with much focus, being fascinated by the night sky holding a full moon as bright as the sun.
We walked in silence for just short of 10 minutes, Bo probably didn't want to chat and the only thing that she did to acknowledge my presence was by clutching onto my hand so hard I swore my hand was turning snow white.
"Sorry for being so stubborn," She apologizes as my hand flailed around in my front pocket, fishing around for the key to unlock the door. I pulled them out and jammed the metal cutout into the lock, jerked it out, then kicked the door open.
"Make yourself at home," I greeted as I almost ran inside. "The spare bedroom's right over there," I informed as I pointed in it's direction. "And the thing I like most about this flat is that it has central heating!" I added enthusiastically. "It really comes in handy on cold winter nights."
"That's nice," She commented as she dragged her feet across the carpeted living room to the spare bedroom. She was really tired, I could tell. Ill just leave her to sleep and settle in myself.
I got to my room in a way similar to how Bo got to the spare one, by dragging my feet across the carpet unsure if there's enough energy left in me to pick my feet up and put them one in front of the other. I kicked my shoes off and stripped myself of my tight black jeans. I plopped myself down on my bed and cradled myself in the fluffy white comforter that seemed like a cloud. I soon drifted off into sleep, it being easier than I thought that it ever could be even if I did drug myself with Nyquil.

Hiya! Here's another chapter. I have mixed feelings about this one and I hope it's okay to at least hold you over until I can get a chapter up that's more than decent, but when I can/will is a big ? I'm out of school now and summer vacation has started so I should be able to get a chapter up a day with some exceptions however. I'm not exactly sure about what the hell I should do next so drop a comment with a suggestion if you have one or even just tell me what you think of the story so far.
