"Why is it when my day is busy there are all these programs on that I want to watch but then when I have absolutely nothing to do I can't find a bloody thing?" I asked myself as I spammed the up buttom on my remote control, watching the telly flicker from channel to channel.

"What's that sound?" I muttered under my breath in response to a faint sound. I heard it multiple times more until it broke into pounding on the door.

"Open up, Bo," A male voice commanded on the other end of the door. My mind immediately went into overdrive, trying to figure out who could be here at 10:30. Everybody who comes to mind, which are very few people, usually come earlier in the day and call beforehand.

I got up from my seat on the couch where I had been sitting for at least 3 hours straight and dragged my feet across the carpet and looked into the peep hole. I was unable to identify the character since he had a black ski mask over his head. What are the chances?

"Who are you, how do you know my name, and how the hell did you get my address?" I questioned sternly.

"That's for me to know and you to never find out," The response was. I just now noticed that the man was using a voice modulator. If he's using one then that must mean he's someone who knows me but doesn't want me to know who he is. My mind immediately swerves to think of the worst possible situation.

I silently crept over to the small kitchen area and picked up one of the few wooden chairs to put up against the door to hopefully prevent this familiar stranger from possibly breaking in.

"You really think that's gonna stop me?" He commented to the sound of the chair being put up to the door. Shit, I'm in real trouble now.

Soon enough, the door was kicked open, the man came storming in and I was on the other end of the room with the chair flying in my direction. I quickly went into a position where it would do minimal damage, it scraping off a bit of the skin on my upper forearm.

"What the hell do you want?" I questioned, fearing for my life like anyone in this situation would. The man then ripped the mask off his head. The man behind the mask was who I least expected it to be, but yet who everyone would.

"Why the hell are you here, Charles?" I snapped, my being scared giving into anger.

"Why would the villian ever give away his evil plan?"

"If you were a real villian you would have hurt me already," I challenged.

"But what makes you think I haven't?"

"Because you haven't laid a finger on me."

"I've already broken you down, maybe not physically but emotionally and mentally."

"What makes you think you've broken me?"

"I know you all too well precious Bo, you don't even have to say a word and I know you're calling out for help, but there's nobody to answer your cry," He replied. "And just to prove that, you can call one person and see if they care enough to come and help you."

My eyes bulged out and I was then searching my pockets for my phone but not being able to find it.

"Looking for this?" Charles asked as he pulled a phone out of his pocket. My phone. He tossed it over and I was unlocking the screen within seconds of gaining possession of my own material object. I stared at the screen ready to make a call for minutes upon minutes as my brain raked itself to think of someone to call that would be an effective choice.

"Can't think of anyone now, can you?" He retorted. "What a pathetic life you lead, Bo."

"No, I don't lead the pathetic life. You do," I returned with an equal tone. "You're the one breaking into your exes house to gain revenge that isn't even neccessary. I didn't break it off with you, you broke me to pieces in the process." I then had a name cross my mind.

Danny.

Here's the not very long awaited chapter I promised in the last one. This one was quite enjoyable to write and is making it easy for me to start the next one.  Please, tell me what you think of this one. I'd appreciate it!
