"Left," I informed Bo as we drove down a highway, me being her human GPS. I had to parrot the instructions to her since she was the one driving. I was set on keeping this a surprise as long as I could. Thank goodness I thought ahead and found a ski resort that she hopefully isn't familiar with so she won't be able to guess where we're going.

"Where are we even going?" Bo asked, this being the only words of conversation.

"I'm not telling you, it's a surprise," I reminded, me having told her this at least 17 times.

"Oh come on," She muttered under her breath much too loudly out of disappointment.

"Right," I stated as we came to a fork in the road.

"You must be a walking GPS," Bo predicted as she turned right. I shook my head brisk enough for her to see the movement out of the corner of her eye. "Then where are you getting all the directions?" I looked away and casually rested my forearms on the paper that had MapQuest instructions.

"You printed them out didn't you?" She asked, my moment of silence informing her that she had hit the nail on the head. "Let me see the paper," She commanded as she took one of her hands off the wheel and threw it over in my direction to claim the paper.

"Both hands on the wheel," I stated as I slapped her hand back. She rolled her eyes and did just that. "That's better," I commented. I earned yet another eye roll from her. Wow, she really must not be pleased with me today, but at least I know that by keeping this a surprise it'll mean so much more to her. It always does in a situation like this, right?

Half an hour of dead silence passed before either of us had decided to turn the radio on. It was preset to an electro-pop/EDM station. I couldn't help but dance in my seat. I was even punding my fists in the air when the bass dropped. There were some songs I really got into and others that couldn't possibly end soon enough, but the ones I didn't like Bo seemed to like so I stopped my hand from turning the dial.

We were off the highway with a turn and minutes away from our destination, and Bo was still clueless as to where we were going.

"Where are we going?" She requested me to answer her with a whine.

"You'll find out," I answered, point blank refusing to tell her where we were going.

"I'm getting tired of waiting!" She continued on.

"You won't have to wait much longer," I promised. It'll be obvious soon enough. "And turn," I instructed. There was only one direction to turn so she healthily assumed turn to the left and we were staring the ski resort right in the face. Her jaw was dropped in disbelief.

"Was this why you wanted me to dress warm?" She asked. I nodded my head.

"Park by the front and we'll go and see who's come to join us." I said, she did as I had instructed yet again.

"No way," She exclaimed as we exited the car. She went wide-eyed at the sight of her surroundings. We continued to walk across the packed down snow until we reached the 'house' where the ski equipment could be rented as well as there being a pub and a couple areas just to hang out and warm up by the fire before catching another ski lift. It was quite a homey atmosphere and I liked the feel of it.

"Where are we going?" Bo asked, not sure as to where I was planning on taking us. I stuck my head into the pub area of the building and did a quick scan then stepped inside and queued for Bo to join me.

"Hi Bo!" Her two closest friends exclaimed, excited to see her. I could easily tell that it's been awhile since they've been in each other's company so be together agian means a lot ot them, all three of them.

"Hi Lianna! Hi Jasie!" She greeted in return. I was familiar with Lianna, I'd seen her a couple of times so I knew that she was the one with the green eyes and golden brown hair so it was easy for me to assume that Jasie was the one with the black pixie cut and dark brown eyes.

My eyes started to wander and observe the decorations on the walls of the small pub. There were a lot of street signs and cigar adverts. Throw in a couple soda bottle cutouts and that's all the decoration on the dark red walls. After my fascination with the overall appearance of the place, I turned back to Bo and her friends and half listened to their conversation. They were really just catching up on things.

"And who's this?" The woman I'd identified to be Jasie asked, obviously refferring to me.

"I'm Danny," I informed, answering the question directed towards Bo. I was kind of wanting to avoid the labels of what our relationship is because if we're not entirely sure of it ourselves, how can we explain to others?

"Nice to meet you Danny," Jasie smiled as she extended her arm for a handshake. I smiled in return and shook her hand.

"Shall we go out on the slopes now?" Lianna asked, desperately wanting to get on a pair of skis and head down the mountain.

"Let's get this party started!" I answered louder than necessary, much louder than needed. We headed out of the pub area, stopped by the rental area to pick up our skis and we were off.
