Chapter 20 (Floors 48 - 49)

Floor 48

On this floor... they're in the time dinosaurs existed!

"Look at all the dinosaurs!" Enzo pointed towards the dinosaurs grazing around. There were pterodactyls flying around, some dinosaurs eating grass, and others fighting with other dinosaurs.

"I'm gonna try riding one!" Lucas said as he ran towards a nearby triceratops and rode on it. The said dinosaur, however, just knocked him away from his back. Everyone else mentally facepalmed.

Oi Lucas, that was very dumb.

"What Jasmine said." Elianna remarked.

"You still love me even though I'm dumb." Lucas smirked.

"........."

Lucas' smirk grew wider. "Hehe~!"

Will you two lovebirds stop flirting for a minute? I'd start finding the floor boss if I were you.

"What she said." Camille interrupted.

"Hey, Jasmine!" says Lucas.

What?

"Who's the final floor boss?"

Ohohohoho, that's a secret :3

"You're no fun! Who are you? Camille??"

"H-Hey!" Camille said.

What the--? Just find the freaking floor boss! I'm hyped to see y'all finish the game! So the concept of this floor is not just a single floor boss, but a jurassic hunt. You have to find the specific types of dinosaurs I tell you and you have to kill them all~ Your first target is a thesaurus!

"Okay!" Lucas said.

Lucas. Are you not listening in your English class? A THESAURUS IS NOT A DINOSAUR. A thesaurus is a book that helps you find synonyms, omg. So your first actual target is a stegosaurus. Oh, wait! One last thing! You're only allowed to use guns. Also, the guns only have limited ammunition. If you use your weapons, the dinosaurs will not die.

(A/N: Kids, do not be like Lucas 😂)

Six guns then fell out from the sky. (a pistol to be specific.)

"Why not a sniper rifle of something? Why a pistooooool??" Enzo complained.

Oi, stop complaining. By the way, look to your right.

They looked to their right and saw a stegosaurus.

"Rosary? Since you have the most experience on handling guns, try shooting first?" Enzo said.

"Aight. Just like roses, that stegosaurus will wither!" Rosary said as she shot it a few times, causing it to die.

Your next target is a triceratops.

"Pfft...!" Elianna started laughing, "Lucas tried to ride one lololol!"

"Shut up!" Lucas said. "Anyway, we split."

Camille's PoV

What a pain... why do we have to search for dinosaurs?? Let's just get it over with, I guess.

Good thing I know my dinosaurs, unlike a certain someone who thought a thesaurus was a dinosaur.

I see lots and lots of dinosaurs... but not the kind we need.

Well, that was until I saw a triceratops fighting with another one. I pointed out my pistol in the distance, but before I did it fell down to the ground with blood.

Oiiii! Enzo found a triceratops! Okay, your last and final target is a tyrannosaurus rex. You need at least two people for a chance to even kill it.

Seesh is this girl so loud... but that's okay. Two people, eh?

"Enzo!" I shouted out to him.

"Camille? Oh, I didn't know you were here. Wanna find the T-Rex together?"

"Sure, I gue----" We heard a loud roar. "What was that??"

"Gee golly! Why, it's the T-Rex! I'll shoot the head, go get it's tail. Ready?" I just nodded in response. Enzo and I shot the designated parts.

Third Person's PoV

Camille and Enzo have finished off the T-Rex. You are now being teleported next to the portal...

A flash of light blue began enveloping them, bringing them to the said place.

Floor 49

Beach theme floor! ^_^ Everyone's wearing beach outfits, of course.

The grains of sand trickling on their feet, the sun shining within the clear blue sky, and the deep blue oceans waving... it was indeed a beautiful and serene sight.

However... they all knew that they can't be here forever, and this tranquility won't last long, either.

One floor to go... before you start this... how are you guys feeling right now?? I'm personally feeling happy for you guys, and a bit sad.

"Jasmine... you're literally the best game developer ever! At least you're not the evil type. You even sent your best friend to guide us! On behalf of everyone here, I hereby believe that we feel super happy because we're gonna meet our families and probably each other. However, just like you, we feel sad. Because we're gonna miss you and Joseph." Elianna said.

N-Now's not the time for drama! You've got a floor boss to c-clear...

The once blue sky is now darkening to a darker shade of blue. The once calm oceans started raging... greenish tentacles then emerged from the ocean. Yes, it was a giant kraken. The once sunny sky began pouring out drops of rain.

"How are we gonna fight in THESE?" Camille said, referring to the swimsuit she was wearing.

No way you're fighting that thing with your default clothing, unless you want it to get wet.

"Less talking, more fighting! We can do this, people!" Lucas encouraged them. "Don't use too much mana. We're saving it for the final boss. Actually... one of you can use your special skill. We got a mana potion we can use. Again, we're saving our efforts for the final boss. Y'all hear me?"

"I'm gonna use mine, meep!" Kenji readied his bow and chanted, "You who must perish, must also be forgotten! Arrow of Oblivion!" An arrow then came charging, and it exploded the moment it touched the creature. "That's not enough. We need to attack it more, meep!"

"Bro, catch!" Lucas threw a mana potion towards Kenji's direction and he caught it.

Everyone started attacking while conserving mana, and the kraken was beaten. The beach returned to its original, serene state and the portal opened.

"Wait. Remember what I said back at floor 25? That we'd exchange numbers?" Lucas reminded them. They all nodded in agreement.

Wait! You're gonna need this, then!

Ballpens and a paper then fell from the sky.

"Thanks! Alright. Please write your numbers~!"

After that, they took a deep breath and entered the portal.
