Chapter 18 (Floors 43 - 45)

(I'm sorry for the very long wait! It's just that... I've been very busy... ;-;)

Floor 43

On this floor... you are in Heaven!

(Credits to user82496325 and NECROMwaffle! By the way; in every floor where I give credits to user82496325, Joseph will be in the floor!)

"Wooooow... Heaven looks prettier in reality." Rosary said to herself.

"This isn't reality. We're in a game, remember?" Lucas corrected.

"...Right."

An angel with wings as white as snow went in front of us and proclaimed in an angelic voice, "Halt! You shall pass no further! Heed my words, for I am an angel!"

"There's no we're holding back, even if you're an angel! We made it this far!"

"If that is the case, you all must perish! But here's a twist for you all..." his white wings turned as dark as the midnight sky, and his halo is also darkening. "I am actually a fallen angel! Dark Angelic Thunder!" a thunder roared and struck Enzo, whose health ALREADY a half remaining.

"Enzo! Heal!" Camille healed Enzo, but his health still isn't full.

"WHAT??" Elianna gasped. "More importantly, guys, dodge the thunder!"

"Suffer!." He struck another Dark Angelic Thunder. They all dodged.

Again... dodged.

And again... but this time, Lucas got struck!

"He--!" Camille attempted to cast, but he knocked over her staff. "Noooooo!" Camille ran for her staff, but Lucas got hit again.

And, his health dropped to 0.

"I died... no way... Eli... I'm sorry... and please tell my parents I love them..." Lucas' body disappeared in the air.

"Curses! I'm too late!" Camille shouted sadly.

"Lucas... no......" Elianna was about to cry, but she thought of an idea. "The resurrection scroll!" She took it from the inventory.

"To use this scroll, every member of the party must chant, "Bring (Name) back!" three times. Invalid if the death occurred later than two hours."

"Alright. Three, two, one!" Elianna counted.

"Bring Lucas back! Bring Lucas back! Bring Lucas back!" Everybody chanted. Then the scroll vanished the same way Lucas did, and alas, Lucas reappeared!

"Lucas!" Everyone hugged him.

"Now, now! We have a floor boss to defeat!" He then mouthed to Joseph, who was watching at the corner, "Thank you." Joseph just winked back.

"Lucas! I just thought of an idea, meep!" Kenji said excitedly.

"Yeah?

"Let's use our dual special skill, meep!"

"We haven't th---!" Lucas was interrupted by Kenji.

"Do you trust me, meep?"

"Yes."

"Follow my lead, meep! I'm gonna need to borrow your sword, though!" Kenji then whispered, "Go behind him. After the sword hits him, grab the sword and slash him." Lucas did as he was told.

"The sacred sword known Excalibur, which is now at my hands..." Kenji used Lucas' sword as an arrow and put it on his bow, "...lend us your strength!" He let go, and it hit his chest region.

"Lucas! Now, meep!" He slashed the fallen angel, but he isn't dead yet.

"That gave us our opening! Just a bit more!" Rosary said as everyone continued attacking. Eventually, the fallen angel died.

"...Well done." The portal opened.

Floor 44

Six HIDDEN pressure plates are scattered all over the floor. Once all are stepped on, the portal will open. No floor boss. Once you see one, a walkie-talkie will be provided to keep in touch.

"I'm staying here. I can't help you in this one, sorry!" Joseph said.

Kenji's PoV

"That's alright. Everyone else, split!" Lucas said.

Okay then, meep. They're hidden, right, meep? Guess we'll have to find them by walking aimlessly, meep. First desrination: To the northeastern corner, meep! No luck, meep... The northwestern corner, meep? Still no... I tried checking the remaining corners, there's no luck, meep. Where could it b---

*click*

A walkie-talkie fell down. I picked it up and said, "Hello, meep? This is Kenji, meep!"

"Isn't that quite obvious? This is Enzo, by the way. We're only waiting for Rosa---"

"H-Hello? Rosary speaking!"

"Took you long enough, now we all stepped on one. The portal is open! Last one who arrives back is a rotten egg!" Lucas said.

Third Person's PoV

Everyone is back, but Enzo arrived last.

"Hahaha! Rotten egg, meep!" Kenji mocked him.

"Shut up, meep freak! I'm entering the portal." Enzo said as he went in, and everyone else followed.

Floor 45

In this floor, there are three pillars which change shape every time you take. It changes in this order: square, circular, triangular. I won't tell the rest, solve it on your own!

"Is it true?" Enzo said. Circular. "Oh, wow, it works! I wonder what this is about..." Triangular.

"Maybe there's something on top of the pillars!" Lucas said. Square. He then applied pixie dust on himself and flew up. However, there was nothing. Lucas shook his head in disappointment.

"What a pain..." Enzo put his hand on the pillar. Circular. But the pillar he touched didn't change shape. "W-What??"

"Maybe we have to match them all? As of now the pillar Enzo touched is square and the others are circular." Camille suggested. Triangular.

"Meep! Touch them now, meep!" Kenji said. Square.

Elianna touched one and Rosary touched the other. "OYA OYA?!?!" Elianna shouted. Circular. All the pillars changed shape again. "It's not it? Maybe it's has to be different? One square, one circular and one triangular?" Triangular.

Lucas touched a pillar. "Hello!" Square. Only the other two turned square.

Enzo touched another. "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" Circular. Only one changed.

And now... the portal snapped open!

"We did it!" Enzo congratulated.
