Chapter 15 (Floor 38 - 39)

Floor 38

In this floor, they---

Heeeeeeeeeey! Joseph here lololol!

Shut up! I'm trying to describe here. Anyway, in this floor, they can see moving gears and clockwork everywhere. They can also hear ticking clocks.

"Finally! A floor of time, meep!" says Kenji.

"......I still hate you for eating the cookies." Camille muttered.

"I said I was sorrrryyyyyy, meep!"

Then they saw a owl with glasses holding a clock passing through.

"Hoot, hoot!" went the owl.

"...What kind of bird knows how to wear glasses and hold a clock? Anyway, do we follow it?" says Camille.

"I don't see why not, meep?"

Without planning, they followed the weird bird and it led them to a chamber. The chamber's doors began closing. Without a doubt, this is the boss' room. The question is, is the bird the floor boss?

"Hoot, hoot! Horology is my craft, Diggie is my name!" The owl known as Diggie introduced himself. A figure then came closing in. It was Joseph... again.

"Did y'all miss me?" He smirked.

"What? You're back, again? Aren't you done with us?" Enzo said. "I forgive you, by the way."

"I'm gonna teach something today. If I think that you got the lesson, you get a legendary weapon. The ones who already have them are excluded from this challenge." Joseph snapped his fingers and Eli, Enzo, Camille and Rosary were locked in a cage that was floating. So yes, it's Lucas and Kenji left. "Oh, you guys are not gonna fight me, fight Diggie.

"Bro, you ready?" Lucas raised his fist.

"Ready spaghetti, meep!" Kenji bumped his fist with Lucas'

Diggie summoned a circle and it caught the both of them, causing a yellowish string to be attached to them. Shortly after Diggie threw a bomb. They tried getting away, but the string just pulled them back in. The bomb exploded, and it stunned them.

"Running late? Just turn back the time!" Diggie said as he used the combo again. Joseph then snapped his fingers and summoned a blizzard; but instead of it being cold, it burns.

"It's so cold it burns, meep!" Kenji then aimed his arrow at Joseph. "Wind's Fury!" a cluster of wind arrows hurled at Joseph, but...

"Time is science!" Diggie shielded himself and Joseph, leaving his Wind's Fury useless.

"Bro, let's split; it's better for only one of us to be caught than the other." Lucas whispered.

"Alright, meep."

"ARE YOU GUYS OKAY DOWN THERE?!" Rosary shouted.

"Yep!" Lucas shouted back, and Kenji just gave her a reassuring thumbs up.

Diggie did the same process... again, but it only caught Kenji because they were apart, so Lucas was attacking Diggie.

"Just keep going! If he catches you then I'll attack, meep!"

Diggie attempted to used the same combo again, but he ran out of mana. "Did my clock just stop working?" he panicked.

"Now's are chance, meep! Let's combine our attacks so that it'll be quicker! Paralyzing Shock!" Kenji fired an electric arrow that paralyzed Diggie. Then Lucas kept attacking it.

But, something's weird. Instead of Diggie dying, he transformed back into an egg?

"Are we gonna fight him again?"

"Nope!" Joseph snapped his fingers and Diggie disappeared. "Not only did you learn what I was trying to teach, but you enhanced it further. You see, I'm teaching you to use combos. However, you learned more by working together with your comrade. For this, I grant you both your legendary weapons and special skill, with your dual special skill!" With a snap of his fingers, their legendary weapons are at Joseph's hand, and the two took it.

"Alright, soooooo... Lucas. Your skill is Excalibur's Slash, don't judge the name. It's just a very powerful slash that has a chance of being a critical hit.

As for you, Kenji, yours is Arrow of Oblivion. The arrow you fire explodes upon impact and has a high critical chance.

Wait, the old man probably forgot to tell you something about dual special skills. The thing is, you and your partner come up with everything yourself. The name, how you do it, literally everything. BUT! You and your partner have to agree about it together. Lucas and Kenji, I allow you both to plan on your dual special skill. That is all." Joseph snapped his fingers and the portal appeared.

"Wait! Put our friends back down!" Lucas said.

"Oh, right. I forgot about that." He snapped his fingers and the cage lowered and opened. He disappeared shortly after.

Floor 39

In this floor, they can't see a thing. Don't worry, they're only in one room. Specifically, they're in a classroom with your typical school stuff. No floor boss. Challenge: Find me! (Me as in the developer Jasmine xD) Oh, and by the way? NO USING OF LIGHT SPELLS.

(A/N: Inspired by a game in school where we have to find our classmate who was dark skinned and was wearing a black t-shirt in our classroom! No racism here.)

"We're gonna find the developer? SWEET!" Elianna cheered.

"Let's just make it quick, meep!" Kenji said. "Also, let's split up, meep!"

So now they're on the hunt to find Jasmine. But they either kept bumping into chairs or into each other. Elianna was on the corner, but little did she know that Jasmine was just crouching on that corner. Holding in her laughter, Jasmine kept silent. (So close yet so far, Eli!) Jasmine thought to herself.

"Ow!" Enzo's head hit a shelf. "I hate whatever I bumped on." Jasmine snorted, but they all heard it. (That's gotta hurt HAHAHAHAH!)

"Who laughed?" No one said anything. In panic, Jasmine quickly covered her mouth. (I'm screwed!) "Follow the direction of that laugh, quick!"

Rosary was getting closer, but she tripped and landed on Jasmine. Suddenly the lights flashed open.

"Owwww... oh, hey! Hi Ms. Developer!" Rosary awkwardly waved.

"You found me? Well, accidentally, but you still found me...!" Jasmine opened the portal. "Well, see you all until next time!" Jasmine snapped her fingers and disappeared.
