Chapter 8 (Floors 21 - 24)

In the previous chapter...

Then they were attacking the boss, but they saw gunshots at the distance. After the floor boss defeated, they went to see where the gunshots was from. They saw a red-haired, black-eyed girl who was holding a mini-gun decorated with roses.

"Excuse me, miss, who might you be?" Lucas questioned.

"Who are you guys, first?" the girl said.

"I'm Lucas. The mage over there is Elianna, the archer is Kenji, and the bishop's name is Camille."

"Oh. My name is......."

"Oh. My name is Rosary. Why do you ask who I am?" she said.

"You see, we're completing the game together. Do you want to join us?"

"Well... sure."

Then they entered the portal.

Floor 22

This floor is meadow full of roses.

"OH MY GOSH! ROSEEEEEES!" Rosary squealed.

"You really like your flowers, huh, meep? Even your name has the word "rose" in it, meep." Kenji said.

"Roses are just so pretty, you know? I'm taking one with me." She said as she picked a rose. "The floor boss is probably something or someone that will destroy these roses. Or an evil rose?"

"Who knows, meep?" Kenji shrugged.

Then they arrived at the floor boss. It was indeed a giant, evil rose.

"I can't bear to see roses destroyed... let's get this over with." She looked to the evil rose. "Just like roses, you'll wither! Even though you actually are a rose."

Then they attacked the boss, and it was defeated. Lucas took a glance at Camille, and she looked like she was thinking of something.

"Hellooooo?"

No response.

"Camille?"

Still no response. Lucas then waved a hand in front of her.

"Hmmm? What?" she finally said.

"You're spacing out, are you alright?"

Camille put on another fake smile, "Yeah, let's go."

Then they advanced to the next floor.

Floor 23

This floor is full of gold. There is no floor boss, though. Challenge: All of this floor is gold, except for 6 spheres scattered all over the floor. The goal is to find the 6 spheres and bring them back to the exit. Though, each sphere has a different design; so a certain person must get a certain sphere.

"Six spheres, huh? Let's split." Elianna said, and everyone nodded.

Elianna's PoV

Hmmmm... a sphere. I wonder what design do I get? I hate exploring far places, it reminds me of that labyrinth floor. So I searched everywhere, then I saw a sphere which was glowing with bright, white light. (A/N: That rhymed xD)

"...This is obviously Camille's sphere."

Coincidentally, I saw Camille walking.

"Hey! Camille!" I said as she glanced to my direction.

"What?" she replied.

"Your sphere's over here." I pointed to the sphere.

"Oh, thank you. By the way, I think I saw your sphere from farthest right of the floor."

"Thanks!"

I followed what Camille told me, and I saw a rainbow-colored sphere that represents the elements. Yep, this is definitely mine. So I took it and went to the exit.

Third Person's PoV

As the six people reunited, they were holding their respective spheres. There was a stand with six holes, then a sign that says:

Once you have gathered all 6 spheres, place them all at the exact same time.

So they did what the sign told, and the spheres started glowing and eventually turned gold, they began to levitate in the air, they moved in a spiral direction then a portal opened. Then they entered.

Floor 24

This floor is a beautiful lakeside with fairies fluttering about.

"The views' so beautiful!" Lucas said.

"Look at the fairies!" Elianna reached her finger out and a fairy landed on it.
(A/N: You know about princesses when they reach out a finger and a bird lands on it? Yeah. Like that.)

"We didn't come here to look at the view. Let---" Camille was interrupted.

Then a fairy came to us and said.

"Help us, for our queen is sick! She needs the cure!"

"What cure? Also, where do we get it?" Rosary asked.

"Hm? Oh! A cure for a rare poison! Another fairy has betrayed us and secretly poisoned the queen... The cure can only be found by a magical flower. Oh, please, help us!"

"Wait. I think I know what flower she's talking about. The light rose, a rose that is glowing white, not just plain white. It is said to cure any disease or sickness. But it's just a legend, though."

"Yes! That is the flower we seek."

"The flower must be real in this game..." Rosary muttered to herself. "Alright, we will help you. Finding the floor boss can wait."

So they set out to find the light rose. They ended up in a forest with magical flowers, shrubs, and trees everywhere.

*fast forward to when they found the rose*

"Here it is! The light rose." Rosary then picked it from the ground. "Now we have to walk back all the way t---"

"No, we don't. Portal Slash!" Enzo then slashed his scythe and a portal opened. "C'mon."

So they went back from the way they came.

"Here is the flower." Rosary handed the flower to the fairy.

"Oh, thank you! Please, wait here while use this to cure the queen."

*a few minutes later*

"Adventurers, the queen wishes to see you. Please follow me." the fairy came back. So the group followed the fairy. Then they arrived at a giant flower. "The queen lies on top of the flower."

"Wait, we can't fly though, meep..." Kenji said.

"Oh, do not worry about that." the fairy sprinkled pixie dust on the group, and they flew upwards. There they met the fairy queen, and she said:

"I greatly thank you. For your reward..." she opened a portal.

"There was no floor boss?" Lucas said.

"Indeed there is none. Anyway, before you leave, I wish to give you something." she gave them a bag of pixie dust. "Use them wisely, this is the only floor where you can find pixie dust. Now go, I wish you the best of luck."

And so they did.
