The lights still flashed, though the loud music had stopped and the club had become unnaturally quiet. Crimson coated the lights, the floor, the speakers, and walls. Dead bodies were strewed across the floor with blood leaking from ghastly open wounds. My pulse was racing, though the burning in my body had ceased and I was content. As my body calmed and the hum of activity ceased within me, I shifted my gaze from Louis and Kai to the remnants of chaos in the room.

"Well, that's one way to feed." Kai said breaking the silence. Realization struck, I had killed these people.

"Emily, are you okay?" Louis asked now at my side. I hadn't felt the tear slip from my eye, but now they were steadily flowing down my cheeks. I killed these people. I took their lives, took them from their families. There are so many people, all dead. Just as that man did to my parents. I am no better than him! "Emily, relax." Louis tried to sooth me as my breath ran harsh and fast.

"I-I did this." I fell to my knees covering my face with blood stained hands, "I c-couldn't control myself." I whispered.

"Emily, calm down." Louis said.

"How?!" I yelled hating the way my harsh voice made Louis wince.

"They are just people," he said coldly, "There are billions out there just like them. Actually, these are worse than the others," he scoffed, "They are desperate, wasting their hard-earned money on partying with strangers, and practically asking to be assaulted by wearing skimpy outfits and luring others to fuck them. These are more worthless than the others, these humans are desperate and you did them a favor by ending their miserable lives." He said grudgingly.

"No! They didn't deserve to die!" I cried out in frustration.

"Well neither do you!" Louis said, "And if you don't feed then you will die!"

"Think of it like this," Kai began from across the room, he was squatted next to a dead woman with no top on, he lifted her dead arm and let it limply fall into the pooled blood, on the ground beneath it, with a splat, "Humans breed cattle. They tenderly care for the beasts, sustaining their lives and forcing them to reproduce while also fattening them up with plentiful food. Then, they mercilessly slaughter them, and raise their children until they may be murdered too." He looked from the woman's corpse to me, "They do this for survival, they justify their actions by transforming the meat into something different, all while believing that their beasts have no soul. That they, 'can't feel it' because 'they aren't really alive' and 'they don't think with advanced minds'" he scoffed, "It's almost disgusting how ignorant they are."

"We do a similar thing, but we do not pretend to care for them, they grow and we watch as they breed until they are old enough for us to kill." Louis finished for his brother.

"Stop trying to justify my actions." I said bitterly, lifting my face slightly from my bloodied hands.

Kai put his hands up defensively, "Listen, I'm not saying what we do is right," he was suddenly in front of me, his hand under my chin lifting my face up to meet my eyes with his, "I'm saying it's necessary for our survival." He was just inches from my face.

"So, you were planning on me doing this regardless." I said through gritted teeth.

"Of course not," Louis said, "We weren't planning for you to kill everyone in this club."

"What then," I said sarcastically, "Another club."

Louis pulled me up by my arm, "No, we were planning on taking you to a place where there are willing donors."

"But you assaulted us before we could get there." Kai scoffed

"Willing?" I asked

"There is a club in this city where humans willingly donate blood." Louis explained.

"Why would anyone do that?" I asked harshly.

Louis shrugged, "Some want to be turned. Though the likelihood of survival is slim, they still enter a contract where they donate for a certain amount of time then we turn them, sometimes they get lucky and live. Most times, however, they die."

"Others," Kai began, "Simply want to commit suicide."

"Why die by way of vampire?"

"Maybe they have a craving for the extreme, or they just want to feel the pleasure before they die." Kai answered, stalking the crimson coated room like the predator he was.

"Pleasure?" I doubted.

"Yes, in your case it probably hurt like hell to turn, it normally does. But, as you may have experienced, vampires get a bit heated when feeding and that can make the human feel some pleasure through the pain. They still die in pain though." Kai shrugged, "I don't really understand their motives."

I blushed a bit remembering the heated kiss I had with my first victim, "Are we still going there?" I asked changing the subject and looking at Louis who was deep in thought.

"I mean, we still haven't fed." Kai said, "And you hogged all the fun for yourself." He continued wickedly.

Louis snapped out of his thoughts, "Yeah, let's go." He haled me over his shoulder like a child.

"Hey!" I squealed.

"Don't struggle." He warned.

"The fuck are you doing?" I questioned, outraged by his actions.

"Preventative measures to make sure you don't attack us again." He said, walking through the exit, Kai followed close behind.

"I won't." I pouted in my defense.

"Sure." He said sarcastically before speeding through the streets. I was only carried for a few minutes before he halted in front of a dark building. I was placed on the ground and Louis turned me to face him. His glass colored eyes locked onto mine, "Stay here." He demanded.

"I can't go in?" I pouted.

"No." he said.

"What why?"

"because, there will be lots of blood and sex going on in there." He said pointedly, "I don't want you, one, losing control again. Or two, Losing your innocence."

My face was undoubtable florid, and a smile tugged at Louis's lips. He placed a soft kiss on my lips, "Stay." He demanded before disappearing into the building. I frowned and Kai looked at me with raised eyebrows and a smirk plastered suggestively on his face, before entering the building as well. I sat quietly by myself for about half an hour, left with nothing to do except drown myself in thought. Who were my parents? Who was the man with the ruby bracelet? Why did he kill them? Why did he want to kill me? Does he still want me dead? Who saved me? Why did I awaken now? Why were my abilities locked away? Does Louis and Kai's dad really want to kill me just to heal himself? Maybe he wants me dead because he is the man who killed my parents? I still don't know what creatures Aiden and Lucian are. I laughed to myself at that thought, it seemed so unimportant with all that has happened to me so far, but I was still curious and wanted to know. Louis and Kai exited and I stood up, ironically, excited to go back to school and tell people that I wasn't dead.

"Let's go!" I urged.

"You are in way too much of a good mood for just having killed an entire club of people." Louis joked.

Kai glared at him, "What too soon?" Louis asked in defense. We all laughed and Louis grabbed my hand and laced his fingers with mine.

"I can't help but feel like a third wheel." Kai commented under his breath, "Is this an official thing?"

I looked up at Louis and he looked at me, I sighed, "I suppose it is at this point."

Louis chuckled and I closed my eyes as he placed a gentle kiss on my forehead, Kai made a gagging sound and I glared at him. We all ran back to the school in no time, Louis and I cut through the air with our fingers intertwined and Kai slightly ahead of us. We stopped at the edge of the foliage that surrounded the school and walked to the building where the guard's meetings were normally held, "You called a meeting?" I asked Louis as we approached the large door.

"We have much to discuss." He said while pushing the door open.
