A.N. Hey guys! So sorry for not updating sooner! Weekends are tougher for updates, unfortunately. On with the story~
The dreaded buzzing of the alarm clock luckily didn't blare that Saturday morning. Namjoon stretched lazily and rubbed his bleary eyes to see the sun part way up the clear spring sky.
It was 10:30 in the morning, he realized in bliss. He staggered into the kitchen, refreshed, but not fully awake just yet.
"I see our sleepyhead is finally up," His mom teased.
"You should be the one asleep, mom," He insisted.
She shrugged, shaking her head. "I can't sleep as late as you. I don't have all those teen hormones!"
Namjoon reached into the fridge and pulled out a cup of yogurt.
"Any big plans for today?" She asked.
He instantly thought of Jin, but he doubted that either one of them would go to the library that day.
"Hmm, probably not."
"Just sitting around, anxiously awaiting your college acceptance forms? You're still young, you know."
Namjoon sighed. "I know, mom. Don't worry about me."
"I know," She giggled. "You're too grown up for me, huh? By the way, I heard your phone buzz earlier. I didn't check it, but it's probably Hoseok."
"Alright," He said, abandoning his yogurt. He wished he could say he was surprised when he saw a number bombarding his screen with messages.
Seokjin: Morning, Namjoon!
Seokjin: See? No nickname. Unless you want me to start calling you that...
Seokjin: Anyway, are you busy today?
Seokjin: I'm not :)
Seokjin: Not to be a complete and total weirdo, but wanna come over?
Seokjin: I have Mario Kart~
Seokjin: Ha, that's one stupid pickup line, isn't it? Lol
Seokjin: Wait, ignore the part about the pick up line! This isn't a pickup attempt. I'm not going to try to seduce you at my dorm.
Seokjin: Ahhhh this is a faiilllluurrreeee
Seokjin: If you don't want to hang out at this point, that's totally ok because I completely messed that up. And I'm sorry for spamming you.
Seokjin: Text me when you get this :)
"Is it a friend, Namjoon?"
He let out an exasperated sigh. Jin was endearingly hopeless, but it was somehow charming, though he had no idea how.
"You could say that. I met this guy at the library named Seokjin, and we're sort of friends now. He goes to the community college, so I'm going to go hang out over there."
"Ooh, so being a library rat made you a friend?" She noticed Namjoon give her a look. "I'm kidding! Is he cute?"
"Mom, seriously?" He groaned.
"It's about time you brought someone home to meet me."
"Mom."
"Alright, alright. Text your friend."
Namjoon: Hey hyung. Where do you live?
A few minutes later...
Seokjin: Dorm 3 apartment C
