When Namjoon woke up, it finally hit him, as in, really hit him. Hard. The reality came crashing into him like waves on a rock before a storm.

Kim Seokjin was his boyfriend.

It was official.

They were dating.

And if that didn't make him the most terrified yet thrilled person in the world, than he didn't know what would.

He knew it was smart not to jump the gun right away. He liked Jin a lot, but he wasn't in love. Jin was no fairytale prince to him-yet.

Young love and love, though both beautiful, were different. Give it time, and he hoped that young love would evolve into something greater.

But like he said-he had no interest in rushing anything.

Namjoon wanted to give the good news to his mom, who would be even happier than he was. Unfortunately, the only thing he got from her was a note.

Namjoon-

Three people called in sick. That's right! Three! There's no flu going around and I know they're slacking. I'm not manager (yet) so I can't fire them! It makes me so mad! Anyway, I'm so sorry, but I'll be back later on. Have a great day!

Namjoon placed the note to the side and started rummaging through the kitchen cabinets. His mom had been working at the same place for years, yet she had only gotten one promotion. She deserves management more than anyone else, Namjoon thought bitterly.

Besides, when I'm gone, she won't have to look after me, so she can spend all that extra money on herself.

Who to spring the news on now? He wasn't keen on having the entire town know about it, and he normally preferred to keep almost everything to himself, but this news was so amazing that he was just about ready to burst.

I seriously feel like a ten year old who held someone's hand for the first time, Namjoon chuckled to himself. I love this feeling.

He dialed Hoseok and crossed his fingers.

"Namjoon!" Hoseok smiling face gleamed up at him through the screen. He waved eagerly. "I haven't seen your face in so long!"

"You too!" Namjoon had forgotten about how much he missed his friend. He'd have to get Hoseok to drive over one day, and maybe bring Yoongi and Jimin along. Hoseok was his friend first, after all. Jimin and Yoongi had to pass the best friend test.

Namjoon was ready to spill, but it was polite to catch up with him first. "What's new in your world?"

"Hm, same old, I guess," Hoseok shrugged. "Jimin introduced me to his friends, Jungkook and Taehyung. They're nice, and we've all been hanging out lately!"

"Glad to see you have a group now."

"Aw, Namjoon, you know you're my favorite friend!" Hoseok giggled.

Namjoon smiled down at his screen. "Totally. And you're my best friend, which means we have to hang out sometime."

"Once school lets out in a month, we'll finally be free. I'll drive over then."

"Cool. Can't wait. Oh, and Hoseok?"

It was time to tell him. "Yeah?"

Namjoon tried to act serious, like this was the most groundbreaking news in the world. His mouth twitched at the corner-he failed miserably.

"You're going to meet someone else, too."

Hoseok raised his eyebrows. "Really? Who?"

"Kim Seokjin...my boyfriend."

Hoseok's mouth opened into an "O" shape. His eyebrows raised up to his bangs. After the initial shock wore off, he wore his huge, familiar heart shaped smile.

"That's the guy you were talking about last time we talked!" He squealed. "He's the inspiration for your book! Oh my god, Namjoon!" He gushed. "You're growing up so fast!"

Namjoon raised his hand. "We're the same age-"

"Don't ruin it! What's he like?"

"He's funny, and kind. And cute. His laugh is adorable. It's kind of like a windshield wiper."

Hoseok raised his eyebrows again. "Windshield wiper?"

"You have to hear it to get it, but it's cute as hell, trust me. He's a great cook. He's always able to cheer me up, just by being near me, except when he kicks my ass in Mario Kart, which sucks. I love holding his hand. He's really huggable, and...and..."

"Okay, okay!" Hoseok fell backwards laughing. "I asked what he's like, not every little detail of your relationship. He seems great, so I'm happy for you. Do you love him?" He teased.

Namjoon stuck his tongue out. "Maybe. I dunno yet. We'll just have to see where things take us. I definitely like him a lot, though."

"Well, when you two finally kiss, I'd better hear all the gorey details."

"Ha ha, sure. And-Hobi, stop making those weird kissing noises!"

"I'm just acting out the future. And slip in the tongue, if you can!"

"Hobi!" Namjoon half shouted, half sighed.

"Bleh. Sorry. Why don't you text him and plan a date? I don't want to get in the way~"

"Hobi, there's no way you'd ever be in the way." Namjoon shook his head.

"I know, I know. But I really should be going. Bye, Namjoon! Good luck with your boyfriend! I'm rooting for you! And if he hurts you, I'll kill him!"

"You'll what now?"

"Bye!" And he hung up with a click.

Namjoon went to text Jin. He had no extravagant date in mind, but he doubted that either of them would want one anyhow.

Namjoon: Hey Jin

Seokjin: We're finally dating and you're still lazy with expression >:(

Namjoon: Jin, it's just texting

Seokjin: I'm joking around! Don't stop being you~

He's too cute...

Namjoon: Thanks :) Wanna go to that coffee shop?

Seokjin: I'm already on my way over there ;)
