High school, though boring as usual, seemed even more unbearable when faced with the fact that Namjoon was closer than ever to finally being done with it. When the final bell rang, he was going to personally burn all of his old folders and binders, and possibly his gym clothes along with them. Which was crazy, considering how his gym credits had been filled for awhile now.

Not to mention how he couldn't see Jin during school, not even between classes, because he was all the way across town listening in on some lecture. They had always texted in class constantly, (resulting in the loss of Namjoon's phone not once, but twice) but now Jin had an excuse to text him as many heart emojis as humanly possible in the course of just one school day.

It was ridiculous.

And Namjoon didn't mind it one bit.

He was even compelled to send a few hearts back.

Some things will never change, however, and after school, they met in the library. Jin held Namjoon's hand wherever he went like a duckling following its mother. When Namjoon walked up to the front desk to return his book, their fingers interlaced, the librarian giggled.

"It's good to see you two finally working your feelings towards each other out. You've made my job a lot more interesting. Good for you!" She said as she scanned someone else's book.

"Thanks!" Said Jin, while Namjoon just smiled.

"I'm glad you like holding hands now," Jin said while Namjoon scribbled in his notebook.

"I always did..."

"You're finally admitting it now, though?" laughed Jin.

"Exactly."

With that, Namjoon rested his head on Jin's shoulder.

"Returning the favor," He said, "And this is cozy. I like it."

Jin giggled and smiled in exasperation. "Are you just going to read while you rest in my shoulder?"

"Honestly? Yeah. I'm plenty happy like this."

"Me too. Try not to fall asleep, okay?"

"No promises."
