"Johnny, I don't see the importance to meet them," I said as we got into the taxi.
My brother sat in the passenger seat and I sat at the backseat. He told the address and the taxi started to move. We finished eating lunch together and we were headed to meet his members, which took him a week to convince me to do. He had to promise to buy me ice cream whenever and wherever, so I agreed.
"Jenny –"
"It's Min Jee, don't even try calling me Jenny in front of them," I said.
"What? Why?" Johnny turned his body to look at me.
"Just don't call me Jenny when we're with other people," I shook my head emphasizing my distaste of the idea.
"Alright," he sat straight, "like, I was saying Min Jee, you already agreed to meet with them and I don't see why you don't want to. It's good to make new friends, you know."
"I don't need to make new friends, I'm extremely happy with the ones I have," I said.
"Yeah, and they are back in Chicago,"
"Your point?" why did I think spending my summer in South Korea was a good idea? Right, because I missed my brother. Past tense, missed.
"You're so stubborn. You better act nice, later," Johnny said and I just nodded.
We were quiet in the car until the taxi driver turned on the radio, "Je- Min Jee!"
"What?" I was annoyed with my brother. He disturbed me away, from reading a Jisoo fanfic on wattpad.
"This is NCT Dream's song, it's called Go," he said and I listened to the song.
It definitely had a good beat, "Cool," I said going back to look down on my phone.
"They're the ones you're going to meet," Johnny said. As if I cared.
"Okay," I said continuing to read the story. Jisoo just told the girl he loved her, oh my goodness!
My brother danced with no shame, making the car move a bit, "You're shameless," I said shaking my head.
"Your point?" Johnny said. Good one, brother, "Anyway we're here."
I look out the window and saw a white building. I got out the car and waited for my brother as he paid for the fare.
"Excited?" He put his arm around my shoulders, and I sighed staring up at the tall building.
"Let's just get this over with," we walked together inside the building.
"My little sister," he said towards the security guards and they smiled bowing their heads. I politely did the same.
Once we reached the elevator I elbowed his waist, "Did you really have to say, little sister?" I glared at him and he just shrugged. He pressed the 7th floor.
"Well, I didn't want them to think you're my girlfriend," he said and I scrunch my nose. "Gross right?" He smiled and I shake my head.
"I'm not that short!" I said.
"Keep saying that," he ruffled my hair and walked out the elevator when it opened. "Coming?" I sighed and walked out the elevator.
He quickly walked ahead, clearly familiar with the place and I just looked around. I won't lie, it looked extremely classy.
"Jenny?" I hear my brother call me at the end of the hall.
"Coming," I quickly catch up to him.
