~Baking show AU~

So, everything started with your mother enlisting you in some dumb baking show she watched every Sunday morning. You were in your last year before ending school and finals were to approach soon, so when you heard about it, you were pretty frustrated. Still, it was your mother's wish and you were to accept it whatever happened.

You were actually terrific at cooking, in a bad way. On the other hand, baking was one of your strongest talents. It was so unreal even to you, that you could turn food into something either heavenly or hellish.

Sunday came along and you made your way to the destinated location. There were cameras everywhere and a big crowd in front of the building. You remember this show as a kind of fighting show against an idol of the week or something. You were more into the western music so you didn't really pay much attention to the Korean trend.

As you entered the building, they checked your invitation, which took way longer then it should have and you were allowed on set. Every girl there was dressed up very well and you felt a little odd in your jeans and sweater. This was a backing show, after all, it was bound for them to get dirty.

A nice foreign woman introduced herself as Alex was explaining that she would manage your make up for the day and you were pleasantly surprised by her kindness. She sure looked like an arrogant model, but her personality seemed to tell otherwise.

You explained you didn't want anything too flashy and she told you the manager wanted the girls to look special on their own. Alex set you on a chair and gave you a sweet, classic and also elegant look and you were happy with her work. This way at least you won't feel like an outcast anymore.

Outside, the crowd started screaming. Then seven boys entered the set, wearing expensive-looking sunglasses. You weren't much moved, but Alex smiled like an idiot. "Who are they?" I asked gaining a surprised look on Alex.

"Oh, you don't know? They are BTS. You'll compete against them today."

"All of them?" you questioned and Alex nodded. Pff, they are stars, they probably have a butler to cook them meals anytime. They also look like spoiled brats.

The girls in the room all squicked and ruined their makeup while crying which explained the frustrated looks on the make-up artist's faces. You went back to your mirror and admired the ponytail work of Alex.

"Well, it's time for me to do the boys, well one of them..."

"My condolences," you said getting up and giving your hand to Alex. You learned this, while you met new people on the trip to New York last year. "Let's be friends, I like you."

Alex took your hand and gladly accepted, before going back to work. You took out your phone to waste some time before the whole crew was gathered by the stage manager.

As you stood in line you figured there were 14 people competing. Seven boys and seven girls included you. The manager explained the basic rules and introduced the people on set. I couldn't remember all the boy's names, but Suga and Jin stood out because they were short and easy to remember. Also a girl Jisoo stood out from the crowd because she was very short and a little chubby.

The first round began and your task was to make cookies. It was an easy task the announcer explained so that even the not so good bakers could make. The other girls next to you made heart-shaped cookies and even some spelling BTS. You found it hilarious.

You made your cookie batter adding elderberry syrup to the mixture to make it taste more like the sky. With a knife, you cut out forms of a flat swan and took some silicone forms to hold up the neck in their significant place and also the wings up. This way your cookies would stay in place after being baked.
