This is the song that Hunter sings to herself in this chapter. It's the Nightcore version (I liked it better than the real one). Please read the part where she sings it before you listen to the actual song.

HUNTER'S POV:

This is not happening. Please tell me this isn't happening.

Gameknight just deleted my cell phone number.

I don't know why he did it. I just texted him to let him know that I was coming to his college, and he didn't seem to care. Why hasn't he been talking to me normally? When he left for college, he didn't even hug me goodbye. We've been living together for nine years. Why is he being so mean lately?

Stitcher walks into my room.

"Hey, Hunter," she says. Then, she looks at my sad facial expression. "Are you okay? What's wrong?"

"Gameknight deleted my number," I say sadly.

"Why?" Stitcher asks.

"I have no idea," I reply. "I just texted him to let him know that I was coming to his college and he didn't seem to care. Then he deleted my number."

Stitcher sat down on the bed next to me. "It'll be okay," she says. "Maybe he just- deleted it by accident."

I look at her. "Yeah, maybe you're right," I say.

"I am right," she replies. "Now go to sleep. It's late."

Stitcher walks out of the room.

I slide under the covers of my bed. Maybe she's right. Maybe Gameknight didn't mean to delete my phone number. That can happen sometimes...

The next morning, it's raining really hard and it looks like it's still nighttime, it's so dark. I get up much earlier than I usually do. I leave the house at about 7 AM. I get in my car and drive right to Gameknight's college.

I start to walk around the campus. Gosh, his college is huge. I've never seen a place so big. It's amazing.

But how on Earth am I supposed to find Gameknight here? This place is giant. There must be some way I can find him...

...then, I spot a girl walking down the path. She has caramel-colored hair and sparkly brown eyes. She's wearing a red shirt.

"Hi," I say. "My name's Hunter."

"Hello," the girl says. "I'm Rylueigh." (AKA RCatFire77!!!!!!)

"Do you happen to know where a boy named..." I struggle to remember his real name. "Tommy Cheverton is?"

"Tommy? Yeah. I think he's with Diamond and Herobrine," says Rylueigh. Then she mutters, "I can't believe he's in the physical world."

"Wait. Tommy's with Herobrine?" My heart nearly stops. "Is he okay?"

"Uh, yeah. They're friends, aren't they?"

"No!" I say. "Herobrine's tried to kill Tommy numerous times!"

"Weird. They seem to like each other a lot. Since you wanted to find him, I think he's by the lake."

"Thanks, Rylueigh!" I yell, running away.

As I run towards the lake, which I can see in the distance, thoughts fly across my mind. Why does Rylueigh think that they're friends? Is something happening between them?

I reach the lake. I don't see anyone...

But I hear footsteps. It's so dark this morning. I try to find a place to hide...

There! Behind that tree!

As I sit there, waiting, I see him.

Gameknight.

With Herobrine.

The two of them are alone.

I watch as closely as possible. I hear them talking, but I can't hear exactly what they're saying.

What they do next nearly kills me.

Herobrine puts his arms around Gameknight's waist. Gameknight puts his hands on his shoulders. They look into each other's eyes...

And they kiss.

I stagger so far back I nearly smack into the tree behind me.

Tommy and Herobrine just kissed.

Them. The two of them have tried to kill each other for over a year, and now they're making out?

Tears in my eyes, I sprint away from the two of them and run across the campus. I'm going home and never coming back. I get in my car and drive home. The minute I get inside, I run up to my room and lock the door behind me. I curl up into a ball on my bed and watch the rain pour out the window.

Then, I remember a song that Gameknight once sang to me after Stitcher had been turned to End Stone. I was so upset that day, and he sang it to me. He said that someone else had sang it and it was in a movie, but I still like to think that he wrote it just for me.

And through my tears, I sing-

I remember tears streaming down your face when I said "I'll never let you go"
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said "Don't leave me here alone"
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound

My crying gets worse, and for a second, I feel as if I'm too upset to finish the song. But I muster up all of my strength and continue.

Don't you dare look out your window, darling everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone
Gone

Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound
Oooh, oooh,
La la, oh la la
Oooh, oooh,
La la, oh la la
Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound....

And then I break into tears. I'm crying harder than I've ever cried before. My tears splatter onto the bedsheets as I continue to sob. I don't think about anything else, other than how hard Gameknight hurt me... it may seem like I'm okay, but that one thing that he did hurts more than anything I've ever experienced. Nothing hurts more than when someone betrays you. I know that now. My heart hurts so much... I'm surprised it hasn't shattered into millions of pieces by now... if I end up killing myself, it's his fault.

Suddenly, I sit up on my bed really quickly.

"It's his fault," I say to nobody. "He did this to me. He told me he loved Herobrine."

I look over at the dresser. I run up and open one of the drawers... where is it, I know he hid it in here...

There it is! It's the gun that Gameknight used to kill Herobrine. I take it out and put it on my dresser. Then, I reach in and quickly change my clothes into something better- a sparkly leather jacket and a black tank-top under it. I put on some skinny jeans and high-heeled boots. I also mess up my hair and put on black lipstick. Then, I put the gun in the back pocket of my jeans. I look at myself in the mirror and smile fiercely.

"Gameknight... you broke my heart," I say. "You nearly killed me emotionally. Now I'm going to kill YOU for real. And I may go after your little boyfriend as well. Don't think I won't." I remember a lyric in a song I really like that fits here. "This little girl is capable of murder."

I smile evilly at the mirror and run out the door.

I'm going to kill Gameknight.
