"How is he auntie? Getting any better?"
"I am afraid not really, at the moment. Don't worry, Chanyeol is a tough boy. He will not let that little fever get the better of him. He was bed stricken yesterday, so he has recovered a bit. You want to come visit him?"
"No no. I don't want to interrupt his resting day."
"It is true that once you are here, he won't even think about resting. But you are the most welcome dear. You may even talk some sense into him. He is in his studio right now, instead of resting properly."
"HA! I swear, does he ever take a break from music...?"
"Look who is talking! The pot calling the kettle black, is it? Anyway, you may come anytime you want. Do you want to talk to him?"
"No, no. Finally, I am coming over to see him. Shall I bring something? Maybe some pastries, like some Puits d'amours or some doughnuts...?"
"Hmm, you definitely know how to make my mouth water. Hahaha! Okay. See you soon then. Be careful on the way."
"Yes. See you soon auntie."
So let me enlighten you about the current situation. You surely remember when we went to the beach, and Chanyeol was having a little headache. Well, I was right to be worried about it after all, as the next day, Chanyeol caught a cold and was feverish all day. On that day, I called him instead of visiting him. It would definitely not be right of me to go visit him and disturb him on a daily basis like that. In addition to that, I felt that I was partially responsible for his sickness. I was pestering him about going to the seaside, and I knew he would agree to it without giving it a second thought, without thinking about his current state. Hence, to kind of apologise for having put him in that situation, I was off to buy some pastries. I took some of mom's homemade cinnamon rolls for him; he really likes them.
After being done with the pastries, I headed straight for Chanyeol's house. It was nearly noon, so I was really lucky that the pastry shop was still open...!
DING DONG
"Ah, good afternoon dear. I see you got the merchandise too. Hahaha!! Come on in. I'll make some tea to go with the pastries, even though it is quite early for tea. Have you had lunch already dear? I made some Carbonara but Chanyeol barely ate today."
"Don't worry. I brought some cinnamon rolls too. Mom made them and I know he will not be able to resist this one..! Hahaha!! I'll definitely try your Carbonara though, auntie. I barely eat pasta at home as it is not specially mom's forte, and I am too lazy to make it myself."
"Of course dear. I'll teach you how to do it. Don't worry, it's really simple! And how is your mom and dad? They are all doing doing great, I hope."
"Yes yes, thank you for your concern. May I go see Chan-"
"No need to. I am here. I heard you guys chit-chatting. Oh, you brought cinnamon rolls!? Your mom made them!?"
He did seem feverish, with a pale face and a coarser voice. But his face soon glowed up upon seeing his favourite pastry."Yes, homemade. Serve yourself!"
He did not hesitate to shove one in his mouth. Really, what a childish dork; he could have choked himself with it..! But at least he was enjoying it."Oh so you like it more than my cooking huh? You ungrateful brat. Good thing I have someone who appreciates my cooking here. Come dear and have your lunch."
"Hehehe... These are so good! You should try making some mom."
And thus, I had the so-delicious Carbonara while Chanyeol and auntie were feasting on the pastries that I brought. I was glad to see that they were both enjoying it, especially Chanyeol, who ate almost all of the cinnamon rolls. That meant that he was recovering just fine, even though he did seem a little bit weak. But the cinnamon rolls had literally enlightened his face...!
