Chapter Two

Chapter 2

I'm sixteen years old, stuck in a normal high school full of freaks, weirdos, nerds, losers, geeks, hotties, cuties, idiots, people with natural talent, people that suck at everything and everything in between. I don’t really know which one I am, I’ve been trying to figure it out for ages! I guess it’ll come to me at the right time.

I have all my classes with Jessica and Felix. I accidentally picked the same classes as Felix. I mean I'm not a stalker so I didn’t do it on purpose. At the moment, I wasn’t doing too well in a few subjects but I’ve just been too distracted. English was still my strongest subject thankfully because I love English. Maths was next and I never really paid attention in that subject; I hated maths but still somehow do really well in it. Every other subject was a bit of a draw in how well I go but history and science I was never great in. I still put in a lot of effort and just get by but it gets tricky at times.

What really didn’t help was that we have this seating plan in science and a lab partner; three guesses who mine is. If you guessed Felix, you are correct. That’s why I am slowly falling behind. Due to Felix being very…I don’t know how to put it, clumsy? We have managed to stuff up every single experiment we have ever done together. It’s pretty funny though and whenever we get in trouble Felix is always so sweet and takes the whole blame.

Man Felix is so dreamy. One time in science, I got really distracted and didn’t realise I was staring at Felix and drifting off into space so we ended up burning our experiment. The science lab smelt funny for months.

We are in maths and the teacher is explaining how to do a maths problem on the board. I am getting bored quickly and start looking through my diary for things I have to do for next week.

I feel someone tap my shoulder and I turn around to see Felix handing me a piece of paper. “Read it,” he whispers and I nod before turning back around.

I open the piece of paper under my desk and read what it says. “Wanna hang out this weekend?” I say under my breath. I’m biting my lower lip on the corner as I think whether to write back or just tell him. I have a smile on my face as I quickly turn around and say, “Yes.” Felix smiles and leans back on his chair.

I see the teacher look my way and I quickly look at the board and get the answer in my head in case she asks what it is. I can hear Felix talking to his friends behind me and that’s when the teacher spoke. “Felix!” she shouts.

“What? Whoa!” I hear a crash and look behind me to see Felix had fallen off his chair. I turned back around and giggle as I hold back a laugh.
