You trudged through the sand and pulled your scarf up tighter to stop the Sun from burning your neck. You had been stuck out here for a week now. You were all alone. You had to run away from home when your parents started to go insane.
As night began to fall, you found a small car pile up that you could climb inside for shelter. You had been inside for a few hours when you heard movement outside. You gripped onto your shotgun and made your way round the back of the pile up.
"Who are you?" you asked while aiming your shotgun at the people.
They slowly raised their hands and turned around. There stood a Hispanic man in his early fifties and a girl about your age. She was beautiful. She had brown eyes and brown hair that was cut very short.
"You tell us first. There's two of us and one of you," the man said.
"What would I do without your facts? But you fail to realise the 'one of me' has a shotgun."
You saw the girl smirk and her eyes lit up. "I like her. Sarcastic, brave, funny and pretty."
The man sighed. "Very well. My name is Jorge and this is Brenda."
You lowered your weapon and shook their hands. "(Y/N)."
The two of them followed you back into your shelter. "How'd you two end up in the Scorch."
"Running from WICKED," Brenda replied, "You?"
"Same as most people. Infected family."
"Are you a Crank?" Jorge asked.
"Nah. I'm a Munie."
"Same as us," he replied.
Later that night...
You felt someone shaking you. You opened your eyes to see Brenda looking down at you.
"Are you okay?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"You were crying in your sleep."You felt a tear run down your cheek. "I get nightmares about my family. I had to watch them go insane."
She leaned down and kissed the tear away. She then laid down next to you. "It's okay. I'll protect you."
You shifted closer and gently pecked her on the lips before drifting off to sleep.

Yay! My first imagine with a girl! I think it is awful hearing people hate on girl x girl or boy x boy relationships, fictional or in real life.
I am a huge supporter of the LGBTQ+ Community and a lot of my close friends are gay, bi, lesbian, trans, pan and non-binary/gender fluid and they are some of the loveliest people I know.
No matter what sexuality or gender you are, I love you all! Have LGBTQ+ pride my little nerdlings, for yourself or the people around you.
