You and Minho ran as fast as you could towards the Doors. They were closing rapidly. You two got caught up in your section after a Griever chased you. Minho had cut himself badly on a piece of stone and finally collapsed when you were metres away from the Glade. You picked up his limp body and dragged him through the Maze. You knew only one of you would get back and it would be him. The other boys shouted for you to hurry. When you got close to the Doors, you used all of your strength to push Minho forward.

The boys caught him and laid him down on the grass. Alby looked up to see you stood still. "(Y/N), what the shuck are you doing?"

"I'm sorry," you replied.

Minho rolled over and the last thing you saw was his broken face and you heard him scream as the Doors closed.

1 week later...

Alby had temporarily taken Minho off duty as a Runner. He knew how scared Minho was that he would find your body or none at all and be left with the knowledge that the Grievers got you.

All the Gladers mourned your death. Minho didn't speak, he hardly ate and he hardly slept. Any time he closed his eyes he saw you lying there dead.

Newt was currently sat in the Homestead with Minho. He was trying to get him to eat. Suddenly, a breathless Jeff came sprinting into the room. "Guys, you gotta see this."

Newt and Minho ran after him. Minho almost collapsed at the sight. A group of Gladers were huddled around a body, your body.

"Is she..." Minho asked, his voice cracking.

"She's alive, but barely. We'll get her back to the Hut and she should wake up after a couple days of rest.

2 days later...

You slowly cracked open your eyes. Why am I lying in a bed? You looked up to see Minho sat by you.

"(Y/N)! You're awake!"

"How long have I been out for?"

"Two days. How the shuck did you survive."

"I ran and hid."

Minho kissed you. A few tears fell down his face. "I thought I lost you. I can't ever lose you because I love you. A King isn't a King without his Queen."
