Andies P.O.V
A sigh left my lips as I close my book, setting down on top of the nightstand beside my bed. My eyes glance towards the window, then back over towards the tv.
"The cities villain, Shredder had escaped out of police custody five nights ago, the police still not knowing where he might be located. If anyone spots him or any foot clan member, call the local authorities immediately. Stay tuned for tonight playing at nine pm will be about how a local pastry baker was caught stealing jewelry out of Firenze Jewels. INC-"
I click off the tv as I pulled my knees to my chest, my head turning out the window. It's been almost a week since Raphael or the other turtles have talked to me or April- as she claims that is. I know she was sneaking off with someone, but she wouldn't tell me where or who to. I've learned to just ignore it.
I unfold myself from my grasp and hoist myself up off the bed and over to my closet. I grab my jacket off the hanger and slide it on, then finally throwing my hair up into a high ponytail. To be honest, I was nervous about no response from any of the turtle clan, I just hoped they were okay. Something about me I find myself to get annoyed at was that I was determined to figure everything out. No knowing something drove me bonkers, let me tell you. Especially since this time it is about a boy-- err a turtle that I have developed feeling over.
So being said, I was going to go over to the lair to figure out what exactly is going on.
I grab my spare of apartment keys and turn off all the lights, then shut the main door behind me. Luckily April was out with Casey tonight, this time she wouldn't be able to say no to me going to talk to the four turtle brothers.
I slide my gloves on over my hands before pushing the button to head down the elevator. The clock on my watch read precisely 7:30 pm and the turtles started their patrol around the city at approximately 10:00 pm. I had time.
Once the (slow) elevator came to the lobby, I rushed out to the doors, pushing past some of the neighbors I knew that lived in the building. My feet carried me to the back of the apartment, where the manhole Raphael usually took me too. With much force, I lift up the lid and slide it off to the side. I took a deep breath in, trying to block out the nasty scent of a gas station bathroom and stinky socks as I went down.
My pace quickened as soon as I touched the ground. Heck, I even found myself running, though I didn't quite understand why. I felt my heart beat rise when I saw the light of the liar, though no voices could be heard from inside like usual. The sensational scent of pizza that masked the revolting scent of the sewers was not even noticeable.
I walked into the lair, my head whipping from looking at every inch of the lair. I was really at the point of freaking out if Mikey or someone didn't show up here soon.
"Ms. Rose?"
I turned around seeing Master Splinter walking towards me with his hands crossed behind his back. His eyes stared up into mine, a knowing yet concerning look held inside them.
"Master Splinter, sir, where are the turtles?" I ask as I begin to walk over towards him, kneeling down once I did so.
"Raphael and Donatello are here. Leonardo and Michelangelo are taking their shift to look for Shredders location."
"Is Raph okay? U-um, I mean, are they all okay? I haven't really heard from anyone since they left."
Splinter nodded, turning to the side to look over at the dojo. "You may go speak to Raphael if you must."
I stood up while nodding and jog over to the dojo, though not forgetting to thank Splinter. I heard grunting coming from inside the dojo, then Raphael's voiced echoed throughout. With slight hesitation, I stepping in the room, sliding between the curtain they had hanging as a door.
