Sam was pacing back and forth in his room. He stared at the ground, weariness in his eyes. He stayed up all night, on a school night of all things.

A knock on the door made the blonde jump. Glancing over, he saw Dylan walk in.

"Jumpy much?"

Sam let out a sigh of relief. "Very.. I thought you were Kale or Colby.."

"Why would you think that?" Dylan inquired, shutting the door behind him.

"Because.. I've been avoiding both.. I haven't talked to Kale in a week, and Colby wants nothing to do with me.."

The other male sighed aloud. "About Colby.. He's miserable.. You have like no idea. He acts tough, but is breaking inside without you.."

This caused Sam's heart to break. "W-what?"

He nodded. "I've barely seen him eat.. Not even a morsel.. I don't know if he's mentally or physically sick anymore.. You were all he had to keep him alive.. I'm serious.."

The blonde sighed. He fell, purposely, on his bed. "I fucked it up didn't I?"

"Yes you did," Dylan's muffled voice sounded smooth but also stern.

"What do I do, Dylan?"

**

Colby sighed, drawing his knees closer to him. He just gotten back from an abandoned insane asylum because ... Well.. He didn't care if he died or suffered a severe injury.

No one would...

A knock sounded on his own door. "What!" He boomed.

Tristan walked into the room.

"What do you want?"

Shutting the door behind him, the player-like guy rested himself on one leg. "Why are you wallowing in self pity? You need to be out there, forgetting about Sam."

"I can't, Tristan," Colby protested, standing up. "You don't know what he was worth to me. Even if he comes back, he may be lying.. But I wouldn't care. I want him!"

The other male put his hands on the brunette's shoulder. "Listen to me," he said, staring into his blue eyes as she glared back. "I know you're struggling, I know you're hurt. But I promise you. Hang out with me and Dylan more; don't shut us out. We can help you get over Sam, but only if you left us, Colby." Tristan's expression was promise and trust. "If you just give us a chance, Sam won't be your worries anymore."

Colby's eyes shone with sadness and hope. "If I give you guys a chance?"

"One chance."

He pondered the thought. As much as he loves the blonde, he betrayed Colby. Staring at the floor for a few moments, he thought.

Should I do it? Colby thought, his heart hurting, but glittering with hope. I should give him and Dylan a chance. They mean well..

The brunette looked back up and into the male's eyes.

"I'll give it a chance.."
