Turns out, Anna and I both had LOADS of homework, so once we woke up we got straight to it. Anna and I both had online math homework, but Anna was in a higher math level than me so...After rushing homework, packing bags, and eating, we finally got into the car and to school. During the ride there, I was researching spirits. They had always fascinated me, that was also part of my love for the stars and the water. My OCs (original characters) have a special backstory, all of it ties up to one source, spirits. Basically Sky (the main character in the '1st season') rebuilds a fallen colony (along with disabled soldiers/refugees from other colonies) and plans to take down Black Diamond, the antagonist (or as I like to call antag) of the story. Only a few days before the battle is set, his ex-bestie ends up killing his wife, Bismuth. Sky 'had' 4 kids with Bismuth, their names being Titanium, Skye, Cody, and Lucas. Titanium, Skye, and Cody were sent to Earth while the war took place, Lucas went missing before the others were sent to Earth. During the war, each of Sky's plans get screwed up by Black, who's constantly killing off soldiers faster than they can heal them. Sky comes up with a master plan after having a spiritual dream, where Bismuth enters his dream and discusses a battle/attack plan to him also assuring him that she would fight by his side, which actually works. Sky won the battle, with Bismuth's spirit by his side the entire time and the other Diamonds (White, Yellow, and Blue) against him. I always try to use Sky's life as my life, since my goal was to base Sky's adventure off of true events.
Once we got there, Anna said that I could have the morning off/to myself. As in she would prepare my bag and all that. I went with it and handed her my bag upon exiting the band room. "Anna you sure about this?" "Oh yeah, just fine plus, you're always working." Anna reassured, heading to our lockers. My choice was to go see Skylar and Jack who were always downstairs in the mornings.
"Yo Meg, you're never down here in the morning, something wrong with that Anna-filled head of yours?" Jack (hopefully) teased, knocking on my skull lightly. "Oh Jack c'mon, not like YOUR head isn't filled with Me-" Skylar was cut off my Jack elbowing her in the gut. "Ugh, stupid lock.." Skylar muttered, tugging on her lock for the 2nd time. "You alright there?" I asked, she turned to face me with a dumbfounded look. "Megan, I have everything in my locker for every class and I can't open my locker, yeah I'm TOTALLY alright!" Skylar practically shouted, pounding the locker door with her fist. "Here, lemme see your locker combo and I'll do it." I said, trying to calm the mood. "Uh, NO MEGAN! You're gonna butterfly me and sh*t!" Skylar snarled back, trying her combo again.
After the scene with Skylar, I headed up to my own locker, to check that Anna got the stuff. Surprisingly she actually did it without pranks and all, which Anna might not be one for pranks but still the thought kinda scared me... There was a slip of paper on my locker shelf though, which I took no hesitation to grab. It read,
Dear Megan,
Before you ask, no I didn't prank you're locker or anything like that. You do so much that I thought you deserved a break or a little free time. If by any chance you could meet me in the downstairs 6th grade bathroom at 3:45pm?
-Yours, Anna <3
I was confused, but liking it all at the same time. I stuffed the note in my pocket, rushing into the classroom and sitting down. My school IPad was already set up at my desk, ready to draw on (it was even open to the drawing app Doceri). Anna was nowhere in sight though, which seemed odd since she didn't do all this in two seconds.
Once the warning bell rang, something had to be up. No sign of Anna ANYWHERE! I searched the hallways multiple times upstairs, oh wait, I only searched UPSTAIRS. I jolted out of my seat, ran down the stairs, on a mission, to find Anna.
I searched everywhere downstairs, the bathrooms everything, even closets (which of course I got in trouble for). I had about 30 seconds to get back to the class, so I booked it there, which I just barely made it. My tired and panting self burst into the room, just in time for the Pledge. Once I got to my seat, Anna was where she should be, right next to me. She had this grin on her face that blatantly read 'I got youuuuuuuuuu'. "Anna, how did you set everything up in a matter of seconds..?" I whispered to her, she was still happy about her victory I could tell. "Oh, you know, had some help.." Anna smiled, eyeing some of the nearby classmates (not sure if I mentioned but after the small 'fight' Anna and I had, Anna and I started sitting together again). I was in shock. Why would she do this, I don't know! "But, then where'd you go?" "Oh, I hid in the cabinet!" Anna cheered, in a whisper while pointing to the cabinet in the back corner. Yeah now I get it. "Then was Mrs. Shawly in on this?" There was no way our teacher was in on this! "Oh yeah, she said it was okay for me to do, and that's how most of the class got in on it." Anna smirked, glancing around the room. I knew this incident would haunt me forever, and even if I do get bullied because of it, I don't care. Why? Because it was done by the one and only Anna Maverick, one of the most popular kids in school, my best friend (Skylar is definitely off the list since this morning), and maybe my girlfriend...
