*Shawn pov*
First night back on the bus, we made dinner. Somehow we managed to not spill too much and made some chicken casserole of sorts. Sadie thought it would be easy and would feed us for the evening. After a show we are all craving food food not just snacks.
"Have you been to your bunk?" I ask Sadie who was doing some reading for school up in the passenger seat. She looked back at me sharply as I stood holding the counter.
"Did you prank me or something?" She accused.
"Nope." I grinned. I went and sat on the couch. She squinted her eyes at me and set down her laptop. She walked past the boys who were cleaning up our dinner mess and to the bunks.
I watched as she opened the curtain swiftly probably expecting something horrendous. She grabbed the bag of sweet delights, which are chocolate covered pretzels and stood up holding them to her chest.
"Shawn!" She exclaimed. "Oh my godddd."
The boys all looked back. I just laughed. She came and messed up my hair. "Thank you." She told me.
"Of course."
It wasn't much later that the bus got quiet and people started getting ready for bed or started crawling into their bunks. I think I knocked first honestly. I didn't quite remember until later in the night when I woke up and looked outside my bunk at the dark bus and saw the open road before us. I remember wondering where we were and when Gloria was stopping. Then I was knocked once again.
The following day, we made made it to our next stop. Gloria was asleep and we were getting up and trying to stay fairly quiet. The bus was home so leaving it so early was hard for most of us. It was like camping kinda, we knew it would be cold and less comfortable once we left the bus so we all sat around and watched TV and had our cereal. It was our Chicago stop and most of us wanted to go explore but we didn't have time today because our show was earlier in the day than later so we could make it to tomorrows show in Kansas City.
The boys decided that they wanted to get a few of Gloria's favorite snacks at the store since she's gonna be driving so much the next few days. She may as well have snacks she likes to keep her going. I believed that to be very thoughtful. They headed out after getting dressed, it was only a short walk away. I tidied up the bus while Sadie got ready in the bathroom.
"Well don't you look nice." I tell her and she gives me a sheepish grin. She changes the subject asks about dinner tonight and where we were planning on going. I was laying out some of the options up for grabs on the way to Kansas City when we were interrupted by the boys rushing in. They looked frantic.
"Whoa what did you do?" Sadie exclaimed rushing up to Preston who was clearly in pain and clutching hold his hand. Lance sat down looking overwhelmed.
"I, I was walking and I guess I just swung my hand and knocked it and it has a gash and..I just don't like blood and-" Preston stammered. Robbie rushed and grabbed the first aid kit and I stood by not knowing what to do. Sadie pulled Preston to the sink and wet some paper towel before seeing the top of Prestons hand and holding the towels over it. She looked grossed out but not nearly as phased as Preston or even Lance.
Just through all of this Gloria stumbled out from the back of the bus to see what was wrong and she was squinting at the light.
"You kids I tell ya." She chuckled. Before headed straight back to bed.
"Well we have to clean it. Its gonna sting." Sadie says and begins to pour the solution over it.
"You could've at least lied." Preston whined. Sadie grinned. "Ow."
