Harry: When you first moved into your new house, you and Harry had a ton of boxes to move and unpack. You couldn't help but realize he handled the last one with impeccable care and gentleness, as if the contents were too fragile for words. You asked him what was inside, figuring it was china or glass. He smiled and gestured for you to open it to see for yourself. You did, a bit wary as the box wiggled a bit. You uttered a gasp when a tiny little fluffy puppy popped its head out to stare at you, tail wagging rapidly. Your squeals mixed with Harry's laughs as you accepted the new addition of your small family into your arms happily.
Ron: Ron never really liked cats because Crookshanks once was his rival once. Rats were out of the question, no explanation needed. Since the both of you had full time jobs that took up the most of your day, you settled for a pair of owls, one tawny and one barn. They were intelligent and independent birds, no hassle needed when both of you went to work. Still, despite the fact that you rarely had the time to actually get to know them, you knew that one liked the fire to be on while the other liked its wings stroked. Those little things were enough to earn you the occasional nibble of affection and fondness on your ear from time to time.
Draco: Draco had learned year to year to love things more. To help him, you got him what you taught would be the best help he would ever get - a dog. He was a bit wary at first, because animals usually snarled at him, but as time past, he eventually gave in to its puppy dog eyes and wagging tail. Soon, he had completely warmed up to it and to quote his nonstop cooing, he loved him and you with all his heart.
Fred: Fred found a prickly ball once and placed it in a box for you to see. Slowly, it uncurled and revealed the sweetest face and paws you've ever seen. The hedgehog shuffled around its cardboard prison until you placed him in a much bigger, much nicer, much cozier home in a decent-sized terrarium in Hogwarts. Since then, students had started calling it Billy and feeding it scraps from the table. Still, Billy always harboured a liking for you and Fred, much to your glee.
George: One of George's favorite pastimes was to construct an obstacle course for the hamster you had as a pet, using tissue paper rolls, rock and whatever he could make work. It amused you to no end to see the hamster flop around the course and then George delighting it with a reward of a sunflower seed.
Neville: While Neville had an entire greenhouse full of exotic plants, you on the other hand, hadn't that much time to spend greening your thumb so you had a small pot of succulents instead. Easy to maintain and keep alive, they were your pride and joy and the absolute glee you felt when a tiny snail emerged in your pot, staying there and shading itself from the sun under a plump leaf. It bought you boundless joy to sprinkle it with water when you went to spray the succulents.
Oliver: A stray cat had started to frequent your home, much to your surprise and happiness
You always wanted a pet and so you treated it as one, giving it treats and petting it lovingly. Oliver liked the cat too, getting out a worn cushion for it to sleep in instead of your door rug. Eventually it became part of your daily life to wake up to its consistent mewling in the mornings and to laughingly push the bundle of purring fur off your chest so you could get on with your day.
