"Mommy! Wake up! It's time for school."
"Ugh okay. I'm up Amar," I say rolling over.
"No your not mommy. Your eyes are still closed," he says pulling one of my eye lids up.
"Okay Amar. Mommy's up," I say sitting up and looking into his big brown eyes.
"Why are you staring at me mommy? It's not nice to stare."
I giggle a little and kiss his nose. I pick him up and take him to his room and get him dressed. I help him put on his shirt and pants and he gets his socks and shoes.
"Mommy, is this the wrong foot?"
I look over at him and smile.
"No Amar, that's the right foot."
I get his book bag ready and put it on his bed. I run back to my room and turn the shower on. I strip and hop inside.
"Mommy, can I have some cereal?"
"Yes baby. Do you need me to come get it for you?"
"No mommy, I'm a big boy. I can get it myself."
"Okay."
I hop out of the shower and brush my teeth. I put on a pair of blue jeans and a plain purple t-shirt. I brush my hair back and up into a poofy ponytail. I put on some lotion and perfume and put on a pair of sandals. I go to Amar's room and straighten up before grabbing his backpack and cutting off his light. I pass by my room and turn my light off. I go downstairs and I grab my phone off of the coffee table and my purse off of the counter.
"Come on baby. We have to go."
"Okay," he says, taking his bowl into the kitchen. I turn off the TV and grab our jackets. He takes his jacket out of my hand and outs it on. I hand him his backpack and grab my keys off of the hook. We walk out of the door, and I lock the doors. I help Amar get in his seat and then I start the car and pull off.

After I dropped Amar off at his school, I went to the grocery store just to pick up a few things for the house. While I was there, this man kept staring at me. I tried to keep my eyes on my phone and the grocery list, but it was hard knowing he was there. Every other isle, he was there just looking at me. I got annoyed and walked up to him.
"Excuse me? Is there something you need?" I ask, making sure he heard the attitude in my voice.
He chuckles and shakes his head.
"Nah ma, I was just admiring you from a far," he says, flashing me a big grin showing his perfect teeth.
He wasn't that bad. The fuck am I saying. He was fucking gorgeous. His tall stature, flawless caramel skin, perfect body, perfect teeth, curly fade, and these pretty green eyes anyone could get lost in. I didn't realize that I was staring so much until he started laughing again.
"Damn ma, I thought I was that's supposed to be drooling over you, but I don't mind the switch."
I close my mouth and roll my eyes.
"Whatever," I say walking onto another isle.
"Aye wait!"
He runs and catches up to me.
"What? I do have things to do," I say getting irratated.
"Can I at least get your name and number?" He asks.
"My name is Naomi-"
"Naomi what?"
"Damn nigga. Are you gone let me finish?"
