Reaching for Hope Book 2

Chapter 8

I woke up later in the hospital. I sat up in bed and took a good look around. My whole mind was a mess, I knew where I was and who was with me before I got here. I just don't remember what I was doing, or what we may have been talking about. My body felt heavy and my heard hurt like crazy. As I sat longer my ears began ringing, softly at first than it became louder. It was so loud I started to scream, my whole body began to shake. I couldn't control myself. Everything hurt, I felt so hot, my chest ached. I could hear anything but the faint sound of the hospital workers trying to help me.

It's not gonna work, I'm different. what gives me the ability to see things isn't human. I have different bone structure and a different type of blood than the normal human. So the medicine used today doesn't work on me.

They gave me a shot to help numb my body, but as I said before it doesn't work on me. I felt myself falling asleep, but everyone was telling me to stay awake. I don't think I could of if I wanted to.

I want my life to return to normal, Before high school. Life was so simple I had no problems. I don't want my life to be like the main character in a movie. It doesn't have to be me. The world can mess with someone else for once.

I don't know how long has passed, but I felt myself begun to wake up. I can hear the softness of a woman's voice, It was warm, inviting, and so familiar. It sounded like my mom, I haven't thought about here in a while, like I've completely forgotten about her.  I can't believe I have forgotten HER!

"Hey sweet heart." my mom said, "I dont have much time, just listen. When you wake up you will only remember Leo."

"Mom? what's going on?"

"Leo can manipulate memories, he's going to take you away."

"Away from where?"

"Your school. your friends, and Aaron. When you wake up find Aaron, he will help you."

"How will he help"

"He was raised to protected the Lady of time. It was me, and now its you. He didnt know it was you till Leo came around."

"I dont get it."

"I know, but try to find Aaron before its too late."

Then I woke up.

"Grace, are you ok?" a boy with blonde hair asked.

"Leo? what happened?" I asked back.

"my cousin attacked you. As soon as I can I'm taking you home." Leo said.

"Home?"

"Ya, home."

Later that night I was released from the hospital and Leo took me home. He said that I lived in a different state to my "home" was his house. he lead me inside and took me to the living room. "I'm going to make you some tea." he said. when he left, I started to get a head ache. Something didnt feel right, something or someone was missing.

Leo came back out, I drank my tea while we sat and talked. He talked about how his cousin Aaron had something against me, and he had some friends attack me. It didnt make since, just by how he was saying it.

I guess I must have fallen asleep. The next morning I woke up in a large room. In that moment I remembered that this was like the Eve's, But this time no windows and a set of stairs leading up to a door.

Sorry its taken so long to finish this update. I wanted everything to be right with the mother part. Also this part was a little short by 200 words, but thats because I'm not sure when I will have another chance to use my laptop.
