When I opened my eyes I was laying on the ground in the middle of the woods. There was a magic barrier breaking apart above my head. there was no longer any snow, and it was very hot out.

I'm out.

it must be the end of the school year. this is the second year I've missed a ton of school, looks like I'm doing summer school.

I shot straight up and looked at my surroundings. all I could see were trees and rocks. I went to one of the larger trees and begun climbing. It felt like such a relief to know who I was. As I climbed, poorly, I could see the top of a large building.

I could recognize that clock tower anywhere, It was Ocean Park High School.

It was home.

I made my way down and headed straight towards the building. I was filled with so much joy, I ended up running without even realizing it. It was midday when I woke up, so the sun was scorching hot.

I'm guessing the barrier protected me from the weather, starving to death, dehydration, and from losing muscle memory. Even though I was still low in weight and hungry, probably from when I left Leo's.

As I ran I kept tripping but I couldn't stop. I had to see everyone, I could remember them again. I could protect my memory. I want to spend the rest of the year with them, finish school with them.

When I get back I'm going to tell them about my power, and we are going to work through this together.

We have to.

Before I realized it, I was back at school. It looked kind of empty, so I was afraid that is was summer vacation, but then the bell rang.

People came flooding through the front doors and going to the dorms or clubs. I was so relieved. Then I saw them, walking together to the fountain. Lucy, Taylor, Ashley, and Aaron.

I froze in place, they weren't laughing together like normal. they were silent and hung there heads low. through the corner on my eye, I was a newspaper from last month (there are papers at the main entrance with the date on them). I picked it up and saw my face on the front page:

Missing Teen Grace Ariadne Found Dead Earlier this week

May 4, 2018

Grace Ariadne was a student at Ocean Park High School. in mid-December, she had gone missing under the school's watchful eyes. this isn't the first time this has happened, in November of 2016 the same student went missing. Only this time the outcome is different.

Earlier this week, a group of students went off campus and found Grace's body in a clearing not far from the school. Students claim that before she went missing for the second time, they say her in the arms of a senior of the school.

The boy is going under trial for the kidnapping and murder of Grace Ariadne. He is suspected to have relations to the Eve family that had kidnapped Grace last school year.

I couldn't believe it. Everyone thought I was dead. I looked at my hands and pinched my cheeks. I could feel pain, I wasn't transparent. I could feel my chest fill up with air as I breathed, and how rapid my heart was beating as I read the paper.

I'm alive.

I broke into a run as I made my way through the crowd and made my way to the fountain. they weren't there.

So instead I sat behind the fountain where no one could see me and activated my power.

first I went to see who found my body, but I couldn't see anything. So I decided it would be best to see how the paper was made.

Leo was sitting in front of a man, who I'm guessing was in charge of my case. The man was filing a murder case with a bunch of fake details. Then the man went to the news, and a newspaper company and they wrote the story. Leo is actually being trialled for murder, he probably with be found as innocent due to his powers.

"That bastard" I muttered. I used my powers again to see where my friends had gone.

They were on there way to the library and were talking about finals.

I didn't even finish seeing everything, I just got up from my spot and ran into the side building and made my way up 2 flights of stairs to the sophomore library. when I got to the third floor I had to stop and catch my breath.

A few people looked at me and whispered to whoever they were with. I looked down and saw I was wearing a white dress that clearly didn't pass the dress code, and was torn quite a bit at the bottom.

I caught my breath stood up straight, grabbed ahold of the doors to the library and pulled them open. I stood in the doorway looking at my group of friends sitting together in complete silence.

~Authors Note~

This chapter progressed quickly. It is mainly just to show what happened in her absence. Also, I'm trying to get as many chapters done ahead of time for when I don't have wifi and just upload at the library or something.

Another thing, if some of the dates don't seem to match up, please let me know that would help me a lot!

Love,
