Another thundering bolt flashed across the dark sky, illuminating the pavilion and casting shadows of the hysteric trees. There were no lights inside, so it was really starting to creep me out since it was already night time.
I shivered from the cold that penetrated the pavilion. I adjusted my position on the floor, I'm all cramped up at the corner of the structure, in hopes to warm myself, the towel didn't do any good in drying myself, and my extra clothes got wet so it was practically useless to bring. Oh and did I forgot to mention that it was fucking cold?
On a normal occasion I would have curled up on my bed, stretching my limbs at the satisfaction the downpour of rain brings but this wasn't normal occasion and my limbs were far from comfortable. Maybe I was stupid for planning this trip but the capacity of my brain only stretched this far, I'm sorry okay?
Jungkook was busy trying to dig deeper to the bag that I brought. He was trying to find something that was a possible necessity to this direly situation- his words. I saw him rummaging inside the bag, my attention went to his arm veins, it was growing visible with the movements he was making and there were noticeable goosebumps, he must've been cold, too.
He was also drenched a while ago, I managed to get us lost in the pine forest because my pathetic ass decided to be a know-it-all and led the way even after not knowing where the pavilion was but at least we got here!
Soaked, shivering and skin pruned with little goosebumps...
"You even brought a picnic mat?" Jungkook muttered a question in mild disbelief.
I gathered my knees closer to my chest and answered with a small nod.
"Did you raid Ji Hoon's store? How did you even manage to carry these?" He glanced at me and stopped searching the bag and looked at my state.
"You cold?" He asked, biting the side of his lips while frowning.
"You think?" I rolled my eyes at his question and sniffed. Now my nose is runny. Great.
I saw him about to say something until I wiped my nose before saying, "I know this is my fault and the plan I had for this day got ruined because of me." I murmured softly, "I'm sorry."
He placed all the things that was inside the bag on the side and went next to me. He plopped himself beside me and tilted his head so that it was facing me. His expression was unreadable but it was soft, his eyes-- innocent as ever looked at me with such warmth that I almost forgot that I was shivering from the cold.
"What?" I asked after a few seconds of his lingering stare.
"You don't know how much fun I had today."
My eyes shifted in front of me, rosy cheeks-- because goddamn this guy and his ability to make me feel something in my stomach just from his stare. I buried half my face between my knees to hide the blush.
"Really, aside from your stupidity-- which I've gotten used to by now, I have to admit that this day was a little better than our usual chatters at the store, but nothing beats the arcade, I'm sorry," He jokingly said.
I chortled, "you're such a boy," I muttered.
"Well, I do have that thing between my le--"
"Shut up!" I turned my head at his direction to glare at him, his laugh echoed through the whole pavilion.
He reached out his hands to mess my hair and attempted to pinch my nose but I pushed his arms before he could do it.
"Hajima... my nose is stuffy, you'll get snot all over your hands." I tiredly said to him and went back to previous position.
