Prompt: Out of all possible familiars, you are "graced" with a human. While legend says that they are being of great power, yours just makes sarcastic comments and pranks people.

Daryl raised his bow, "Okay seventeenth try."

"Corrupt power submit to me!" He released his arrow and grinned at hitting the mutant squirrel.

The squirrel shrieked in pain as the arrow lit up. Daryl prepared another arrow just in case the squirrel did no submit. Thankfully it did. Daryl watched as the squirrel fell from the tree and stood on its hind legs. It twitched before running off into the woods. Daryl walked to the tree and ripped his arrow out of the trunk.

"Wow! Nice job partner!" The familar face hung upside down a smile on his face.

Daryl grunted and turned around already walking back to his village. Daryl heard the person get out of the tree and come running to Daryl.

"Come on Daryl that was a genuine compliment!" The person poked Daryl's cheek. Daryl growled at the touch.

"Daryl come on! You can't be mad at me for the rest of the day!"

Daryl smirked, "Watch me Rick."

Rick sighed and ran his hands down his face. Rick shouldn't have played that prank on Daryl. Rick ran after his pissed off master. Rick stood behind Daryl as he talked with the ever so lovely Carol. Don't get Rick wrong she was a lovely lady it just made Rick a bit...mad that she could get actual emotions out of Daryl. Rick got emotions out of Daryl but those were limited to anger and frustration.

Rick heard Daryl said goodbye and walk past Carol. Rick walked after only for Carol to catch him. Rick sighed.

"Yes Carol?"

"Is he still mad?"

Rick looked at Daryl who continued walking. Rick felt his heart crack a bit. He nodded. Carol made a sound of understanding.

"It was a cruel "prank"," She made quotation marks with her fingers, "you know."

Rick kicked at the sidewalk before nodding. "I know but..." Rick didn't know how to continue. There was no but, because he fucked up big time.

Carol sighed before slipping Rick an envelope. "I know you two aren't exactly on speaking terms but we got a mission only you two can handle." Carol said before pushing Rick off towards Daryl.

"I suggest you try and apologize to him before going."

"I have! Like thousands of times! And that was only this morning!" Rick yelled.

Carol only smiled before waving him off. Rick grunted and walked off to Daryl's home. Daryl's home was small but was a bit too big for just the two of them. Rick hoped he wouldn't have to break into the house. Rick turned the doorknob...locked. Rick growled and looked up at the second story window. Daryl wasn't going easy on him, at all.

It wasn't long before Rick threw himself inside, but now he was sweaty and dirty. Rick looked around his room. Thankfully Daryl hadn't taken anything from his room or trashed it. Rick kicked off his shoes and threw his hat off before walking to Daryl's room.

"Daryl we got a mission."

He heard nothing in response. Rick slammed his fist against the door.

"Fine don't fucking talk to me! I couldn't give two shits!" Rick dropped the letter to the floor and walked to the bathroom.

Rick locked the door and began his business of taking a long hot shower. Rick heard Daryl's door open and close signalling he retrieved the letter. Rick reached out of the shower and opened the window. The sounds of the village took over his ears. Children screaming, people hanging out, and animals. The village was small but busy as hell.
