Chapter 6

Kate's POV

They just accepted me like actually into a family. The one thing my father said that strangers wouldn't do was accept me or love me. And they accepted me. Well that is until they find out about certain bad habits. Such as my smoking and cutting. They will kick me out for sure. Ugh I should just live in the moment instead of being worried.
I begin to walk to the front of the bus to explore and I think the kitchen is there and I'm starving. I haven't eaten since yesterday morning. I felt awkward just looking through stuff, so I sat down and waited for one of the girls, so I could ask. As I'm sitting Dinah walks in the area.

"Whatcha doing?" she asks

"Sitting thinking about stuff." I say

"Don't think to hard you have a head injury." she says giggling and I join in laughing to

"Um... Can I possibly have something to eat? I mean if it's not to much trouble." I ask quietly

"Girl, of course you can! You don't have to ask. What do you want to eat?" She said loudly which caused me to laugh

"I don't know what you have so, I'll settle for anything." I answered

"Hmmm. Do you like cereal?" She asked

"Yes that's fine. Thank you." I said

"Aww your so polite. You don't have to be like that you know. We command each other around jokingly all the time. We're crazy teenage girls and even though your younger than us, you seem more mature than us." She said laughing

I began laughing too.

"Ok now ask me for cereal the right way." she said

"Can I have cereal?" I asked a little firmer. I don't wanna be mean because at home if I spoke back to harsh or something, bad things happen.

"Kate come on you can command me better than that." she said

"Dinah just give the poor girl her cereal." Ally said

"Kate when was the last time you ate?" Ally asked me

"Yesterday morning." I answered shyly

"Well damn girl, you could have said that. Now I feel bad." Dinah said

"It's okay. Honestly I can stand the wait for a couple of minutes." I said

"Here" Dinah said handing me a bowl of Cheerios. Which I gladly accepted and began eating like I've never eaten before.

"Now Kate if Dinah ever annoys you again, just tell her to stop or shut up." Ally said smiling while Dinah just playfully glared at her.

"Where's Normani? I haven't seen her all morning." I asked

"Shopping as usual." Lauren said while walking in the room.

"Do you wanna go get ice cream with me?" Lauren asked. Did Lauren Jauregui just ask me to go get ice cream with her?! I'm fan girling so hard, but only on the inside.

"Um yeah sure." I said trying to suppress a really creepy smile.

"Okay then let's go." Lauren said while getting off the bus.

We exited the bus and while I was hobbling on my crutches, Lauren got a cab. Once we got in the cab and it dropped us off at an ice cream parlor, my phone rang. I was so busy talking with Lauren that I didn't check the caller ID.

"Hello." I said into the phone

"Hello Kate." the minute I heard the voice I immediately regretted answering the phone.
