Chapter 9

Kate's POV

We entered the hospital and the girls went to the front desk and I followed hobbling around on my crutches.

"Kate?" I turned around to see who was calling me and I saw it was the same doctor I had last time I was here.

"Hey Doctor." I said to him

"Why are you here at the hospital?" The doctor questioned

"We are here to see Camila..." I spoke shyly

"Oh that's right I heard about what happened from the officer who escorted her her. I'm very sorry about what happened. While your here, would you like me to check on your ankle fast?" He questioned

"Um sure..Hey Ally I'm gonna let the doctor check my ankle and my head. I'll meet you at her room." I said

"Okay just be careful." Ally spoke to me

"Come on Kate. Over here." The doctor motioned for me to come over to an empty hospital bed.
I hopped up on the hospital bed and the doctor grabbed my foot and took the wrap off and examined my ankle.

"Well the swelling seems to have gone down completely, so there will be no need for the crutches anymore. But I do recommend you ice your ankle." As he said this he reached for my head bandage and looked it over and poked at it which hurt like a bitch.

"As for your head I want you to keep the bandage on it for an additional 3 days or so." he said

"Ok thank you." I then limped over to the nurse at the front desk.

"Where is Camila Cabello's room?" I asked politely

"Are you a close relative/family?" She asked me

"Well-" Before I could answer Normani came out of nowhere

"She's with us, she can come in." The nurse nodded and I followed Normani.

"So the doctor let you off your crutches?" She asked

"Yeah um how's Camila?" I asked

"She's okay just a little out of it. She keeps asking where you were." she said smiling

"Really?" I asked in surprise

"Yeah she keeps saying, Where's Kate? Is Kate ok? Why isn't she here? I'm worried. Is Kate here yet? So you'll finally shut her up." Normani said laughing.
When we arrived at the room, Normani walked in first and I limped in slowly after her. I looked around and saw all the girls. Dinah and Lauren were sitting in the chairs and Ally was standing by Camila. Normani walked off to stand at the end of her bed. When Camila saw me she motioned for me to come over to the bed.

"Kate? Are you okay?" she asked

"I'm fine. I think the question is, are you okay? You were the one knocked out." I answered

"Oh yeah I'm fine, don't worry." she said to me.

I took a step back and observed her injuries. She had a small cut on her eyebrow from when she fell and a nasty looking black eye. Her big brown eyes were now bloodshot and her one eye was swollen and like a purplish blue black color. It made me extremely sad to see her like this.

"The doctor said that I can go home in an hour because I have no further damage than the cut and the bruise." she said

"That's good." I said

While we were getting ready to leave, we began walking out when a police officer stopped me.

"Excuse me? Are you Kate McNally?" the officer asked me

"I'm special officer Esposito and I'm going to need you to come with me to the precinct." He spoke

"Wait why??" I asked looking at the girls who looked just as confused as me.

"I gave you my statement and stuff back at the scene." I said

"Well you have no other family on record and since your a minor you can't be on your own, so what that means is your going to have to stay with a foster family." He said

"So your saying I become an orphan child?" I asked nervously

"Um yes if that's what you want to call it that." The officer said

"Wait you can't just take her away like that. She is staying with us." Camila said loudly

"Yes I can. No offense to your girls but your underage so you can't be a legal guardian." The officer said

"Wait Ally is 20 and the oldest so she is legal." Lauren said

"That's up to her. She could either adopt her or become a foster parent." The officer said

"But for now I'm gonna have to take Kate with me while you decide." The officer said gently grabbing my arm and pulling me to get in his car. And from there we drove to the station.

Ally's POV

After they said all those things. I felt all the girls eyes on me. Lauren was hugging Camila because Camila started to cry. And Normani and Dinah just stood looking at me. The pressure is on.

"We can talk about this when we go back to the bus." I stated and we walked outside and got a cab van to drive us back.
When we arrived at the bus, the girls all shuffled to the back of the bus and they called me to come in.

"Ally can you come here please? We wanna talk to you.." I heard Dinah say

"Yeah I'm coming." I said while walking back there. I've never seen the girls so serious before.

"Ally? We think you should adopt Kate." Camila said
