Chapter 13

Kate's POV

After we finished the movie, the girls put in another one, but i said to them,

"Hey girls, I'm really tired. Um is it okay for me to go to my bunk." I asked

"Go ahead you don't have to ask." Ally said

"Yeah we all know, that's all Camila does is go in her bunk." Lauren said and Camila looked slightly teary eyed

"Well she's out here right now, isn't she?" I snapped

Lauren and the girls looked at me shocked.

"Sorry that was out of line." I said quickly

Ally stood up and when she went to touch my face I flinched expecting to be hit, even though I knew she wasn't like that.

"Did you just flinch?" Ally asked kindly

"Yeah s-sorry. Um I should just um I'm gonna-" I stuttered and was cut off by Ally

"Come on I'll walk you to your bunk." Ally said removing her hand

When we got to my bunk, I went to crawl in but Ally grabbed my arm gently.

"What was that back there?" She asked with a concerned look on her face

"Sorry, I guess I just hate when people talk badly to other people. Like I don't I'm sorry. It's just because of how my father was and Camila found me and got knocked out for me, so I'm a little protective. I'm sorry though I shouldn't have talked to Lauren that way after she should up for me and-" I was cut off by Ally again and I felt tears building up into my eyes.

"Kate, calm down. Okay it's okay. I promise. I get where your coming from and Lauren deserved that, she's been a bitch lately. Don't worry." Ally cooed to me

"Thank you for everything Ally." I said

"It's not a problem." she smiled at me

She then extended her arms and I gladly accepted her embrace. She held me in her arms and kissed my head. It felt like actually having a mother. I started to cry but not sad tears it was more like tears of happiness. when she pulled away she brushed my hair out of my face and wiped my tears.

"Why are you crying? Is it something I said?" she asked concerned

"No it's just, I'm happy." I answered hugging her again

"Good I'm glad." She said

She helped my into my bunk and tucked me in like I was a 5 year old, but I enjoyed it anyway. The second I laid down I felt the sleepiness take over me. Ally gave me a kiss on my forehead and said

"Goodnight, Kate." She said

"Night mom." I said letting 'Mom' slip out

After that I let the tiredness take over and shut my eyes.

Ally's POV

"Night mom." She said groggily

The minute she said that I regretted ever not wanting to adopt her. I know some people may say, she's older and troubled, but I don't care I will treat her as if she's my actual daughter. And some people may say I don't know her but I don't care, I will get to know her. I'm not worried. I walked back into the back room to join the girls for the movie with a big grin on my face.

"Why are you so smiley?" Normani asked me

"She called me mom." I said smiling

"Awww that's awesome." Normani said
