**Amani's POV**
We walked into the study hall room and as soon as the door closed we heard a loud buzzing sound. Kalee went over to the knob and jiggled it like a crazy person.
"It's locked! Omg I didn't think this old man was serious!" She cried
"Lemme ooout! I have a nail appointment at GiGi's that I can't miss." She whined causing me and Cameron to scoff.
"Could you just shut up already" Cameron said
I walked to the window while those two continued to argue. Man my mom is ganna kill me when I get home. I know it's only detention but to her it's like I bombed the Pentagon. Shoot!
"This is why I broke up with you" Cameron yelled interrupting my thoughts
"No! You broke up with me because of this- this- whatever this thing is" Kalee said
"Yea great comeback" I mumbled
"What did you just say SLUT!?" Kalee screamed
"I said you better step out of my face" I replied
"Hey girls this is what got us into this mess in the first place" Cameron said stepping in between us "Now please have a seat" he said pulling a chair out in front of me. Of course Kalee sat in it. He pulled out another chair for me.
"Now lets talk about this" Cameron said.
We ended up getting nothing accomplished but the time went by fast and it was lunch when we left. The rest of the day went pretty smoothly, all of my classes are with Cameron and Stix so I guess that's good. I didn't see Barbie again so I guess we don't have and classes together that's also good.
The walk home is long and there is going to be heck to pay huh.
I put my key I the door and opened it.
"Uhh hi mom, I'm home" I said walking into the living room
"Amani come in here." She said sternly
Here comes the fireworks.
"Coming" I said walking into the kitchen
"What is wrong with you girl I need you to explain as best as you can to me what happened, because I shouldn't be getting a call from Mr.Carr saying r
that my straight A student that's in the nhs has to serve two days of detention."
"Now mom I know this sounds bad but-"
"Your damn right it sounds bad because it is bad Amani. It's your first day and your acting up? Baby that's not like you." Mom said
"I know mom but Cameron was showing me around and this girl put her hands on me and I wasn't just ganna stand there and do nothing and let her boss me around!"
"Tone" she said
"Sorry I just got so mad!"
"You can't let people like that get to you. But it could have been much worse and your just going to have to take you punishment so what time does detention end?"
"5:00 sharp I'm just going to drive my car tomorrow" I said
"Okay, go get washed up for dinner it will be ready I ten" She said sweetly
"Okay thanks mom" I said
Dinner was good we ha chicken and macaroni (A/N every black child's dream).
