Chapter 17: The Eastern Region

Roses POV:
I had already entered my region and everything was exactly the same. It was peaceful and calm. My region liked to keep things clean and organized. We have not been in a war since our last battle, many were lost that day. But thankfully, our alliance with the northern region has made it easier to get through those loses. I have never told anyone about Scar, because of my feelings for her, besides I don't want anyone to touch her she is mine.

I enter my den, which is nothing like Scar's. It's just bland and boring, my family has lived here for generations, it's home. All of the sudden Danny, a young wolf comes into my den telling me our Alpha is waiting for me.

I nod and start heading there now, soon enough Daze crosses my path going the same direction. "You going to see Zane too?" She asked and I nodded. Zane is our alpha, he is a kind and wise alpha, he's nothing like Storm. We headed towards Zane's cave and gave him our report. Then we left, leaving him to his nap.

"So the gathering is coming soon." Daze pointed out and I nodded. The gathering is when all the regions come to the big lake, to discuss life and how it's going. It's basically a business truce for the alphas but to the rest of us it's a time to socialize. "I'm so excited to see Scar again, I've missed being able to talk to her." Daze said, yes I knew they were related.

"Mating season is coming as well..." I stopped in my tracks and gulped. "I-Is it?" I asked. "Yea, have you chosen someone yet?" I blushed furiously at the question, the wolf that I chose is one a wolf not from my region and two is a female. "Hey, it's ok if you don't have one yet. But might I advise, if your going to like my cousin Scar, you better make your move at the gathering." Daze says, then skips away smirking to herself, leaving me a white wolf turning into a pink one from the blush rising through my body.

'H-How did she know that?!' I thought to myself, then just silently went back to my bed. I ate from the prey pile I kept in my den, then curled up next to the wall. This made me feel like I was still with Scar, it reminded me of her warmth and compassion for me. "Good night Scar... I love you." I said silently to myself then fell asleep, waiting for the gathering in just a few nights.
