It was just the same as earlier. We were hustled through reception, but the man I spoke to earlier wasn't visible, and directed towards the main hall. Me and my new found friend Carl went in together. To be honest I wasn't sure what to expect and I was scared, but upon entering the hall.  I saw that cot beds were lined up at the far left side, tables and chairs on the far right. The room could have held at least a fifty people, possibly more but by my counting there were only 30 of us, give or take. A guy was sat at a table, checking names off a list. He seemed to be checking IDs... "Name?"

"Elise Witton"....The guy looked me over.

"Any diseases, childhood illnesses, and are you currently taking any medication?"

"What?? Why would you want to know that?" Oh god, Sophie was right, but why the hell would they want to know about my medical history? Maybe they'd move me where they moved her and David. A flicker of hope raised in me. Maybe, just maybe I'd be able to find them.

"Standard procedure Ma'am. Just in case of an emergency"......

"Chicken Pox whilst I was young, I take paracetamol on occasion. That's it. Will you move us to the bigger facility that you've moved others too?" I mentally kept my fingers crossed.

"There's a possibility Ma'am. We just have to do a couple of tests and that will determine whether or not you'll be transferred."

"Hang on a minute...Tests??? .....Why tests??...I've just been evacuated from my home, apparently for my own safety, and now you're telling me I might be transferred but it comes down to me taking tests?? Are you lot for real??"....  My blood began to boil, I couldn't help it. I knew I'd do the tests just in hope they'd send me to where they had been taken. But all these questions about medical history and now tests, began to worry me. I felt like I was being assessed for something, that I knew nothing about.

"Ma'am it's just a procedure. The doctors will do the rest." He handed me a form...."Please fill that out and then head over to the nurses unit."

The form was a standard Q and A about my general health, I filled it in and headed over to what I presumed was the nurses station. A makeshift bed with a curtain up, I suppose to provide the ilusion of privacy. Carl was sat at the end of the bed talking to a nurse.

"Hey Carl. You having tests too?"

"Yeah...Erm...Give me a minute" He told the nurse. He hopped off the bed and walked upto me.

"Elise, this is so freaking strange. I really don't like it. I've seen three other people go and have these tests and they've not come back. I keep asking where've they gone, but they just keep telling me that they've been allocated a place on the truck, ready to be taken to the emergency housing." ...

"Maybe they have..." My mind went back to Sophie's letter. 'People locked up, kids too'  and a shiver ran down my spine. "Carl listen, I should have mentioned this sooner, but my friend Sophie and her Fiance where evacuated here yesterday, when I came to see how they were getting on. They informed me that they had been transferred to a bigger unit. But they left behind their mobiles. Now I know Sophie wouldn't leave behind her phone. she also left me a letter, I've got it with me....Here", I thrust it into his hands and let him read it....

His eyes went wide reading it....."Not only that but when I picked up their stuff, a guy at the desk we passed coming in, told me to get out of here. That it wasn't safe and that I shouldn't go home.".....

"What the?"....

"Yeah and I did go home, even though he warned me not too and suddenly I'm brought here. This is not coincidence. We can't go through there. I have a funny feeling if we go in there, we can kiss our arses goodbye."....
