Chapter Ten

That night I stressed myself with thinking about how I hurt Alice, I wish I could talk to her without being so awkward and scared, scared of hurting her.

I heard a honk outside, I looked out and saw Edward looking into Bella's window. They were finally together, partially. I still wasn't happy about their relationship but I would support my sister as long as she was happy.

I walked outside before Bella and crossed my arms, looking at Edward, "you will take care of my sister, won't you?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Of course, I would never want to hurt her." He answered looking truthful.

I give a nod of approval, "good, just making sure." I pat the guy on the shoulder, "good to see I have another brother."

He looked at me with confusion, "another?" I didn't answer as I got into the back of his car and waited for Bella. She came out a few minutes later.

Edward drove us to school, we got out and everyone stared at us, probably cause Cullen was with us. I rolled my eyes and picked up my pace to the school, the staring was getting very annoying.

"Violet! Hey, haven't seen you in awhile." Eric said as he caught up with me.

"Yeah sorry, had a lot on my mind." I told him.

"Hey so did you hear? Ange and I are going to prom." He said excited.

"Really? That's great, you two are perfect for each other." I was happy for them, Ange finally got her date.

"Yeah, she actually asked me. It was totaly unexpected." I laughed.

"You know, if you just had the balls to ask her she wouldn't have had to ask you." He turned red.

"I know, I didn't know how." I aw'ed at him making roll his eyes.

"Anyway, I'll see you later." I nodded and he walked off to find his friends. We still had a few minutes till the bell went so I walked around.

I went into the library and looked at all the books. "Wouldn't take you as one to read." I looked to my left and saw Jasper.

I smiled, "yeah, helps me relax." I say while putting a book I picked up back on the shelf. "Where's Alice? Aren't you two always stuck by each others sides?"

"She hasn't been talking to us, not since she came back from seeing you." He looked worried for his mate, I nodded.

"So, she stayed home?" I went back to looking at the book covers, I couldn't look at Jasper knowing I hurt someone he loved.

"Yeah. I know you didn't mean to upset her, Violet." He said, I liked the way my name rolled off his tongue, I shook off those thoughts. I can't think like that.

"I know you do, Jasper." I sighed. He grabbed my hand making me look at him.

"Talk to her." Was all he said before walking away. I had to talk to her, didn't I? I just wonder why she would be so hurt, I know we're mate's but did I really mean that much to her?

I decided I would go to the Cullen's house to see Alice. Before school started, I know Edward and Bella ditched so she wouldn't ask where I was.

I stood outside of their house thinking if this was the right thing to do. Before I could think any further I walked up to the from door and hesitantly knocked. After a minute Esme opened the door.

"Violet, it's good to see you." She smiled, "Alice is upstairs, second door on the right." She said knowing exactly why I was here.

I sighed and slowly made my way to her room. I knocked on her door. "Yes?" Her angelic voice spoke. Without answering I opened the door. I saw her sitting on her window seat, looking into the forest.

"Alice." I said softly, her head snapped towards my direction.

"I thought you didn't want to see me." She said and went back to looking out her window.

"I was wrong." I told her, I sat on a chair close to her and watched her expression.

"What made you change your mind?" She never once looked at me.

" . . The guilt." I sighed heavily, "I hurt you when I was trying to protect you. I couldn't stop thinking about you." She turned to me and her face softened.

"You did hurt me." She agreed with me.

"I know. And I'm sorry, my little angel." She smiled and looked down.

"So you've finally come to your senses?" I chuckled.

"Yes, I guess I have." I answered with a grin.

"Good." She said, she stood up and I did too. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I wrapped mine around her waist, "that's all I needed to hear." She then smashed her lips onto mine softly but passionately. She ran her fingers through my hair as I kissed back. I finally had one of my mate's in my arms, after me being the idiot the whole time she was finally mine. Just three more to go.
