Chapter Fifteen

I can't believe the Cullen's are taking Bella and I out for baseball. I never really liked competitive games but I agreed to go and I can't back down now.

I get dressed into something moveable and walk downstairs to see dad cleaning his gun at the table.

"Hey, I got you another one." Bella handed dad a beer can. "So, I have a date with Edward Cullen. Violet will be coming to." She told him. He looked at her skeptically.

"He's a little old for you, aren't they?" Dad asked, I snorted and covered my mouth with my hand.

"You have no idea." I whispered into my hand but Bella caught it, she glared at me and I just stuck my tongue out at her childishly.

"No, he's a junior, I'm a junior. We thought you liked the Cullen's." Bella said with narrowed eyes. Dramatic.

"I thought you didn't like any of the boy's in town." Dad said to us, he then took a sip of his now open beer.

"Edward doesn't live in town, technically." I said, backing Bella up.

"He's right outside." Bella told him making dad look towards the front door.

"He is?" Dad asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, he wanted to meet you...officially." I snorted again, how formal of him. Even I'm not that formal and so many decades older than him.

"Alright, bring him in." Dad loads his gun and puts it down. My thoughts exactly.

"Could you be nice? Please, he's important." Bella said, I rolled my eyes. Dad drew an imaginary halo on the top of his head making me high five him with a grin. Bella brings in her brooding boyfriend.

"Chief Swan, I want to formally introduce myself. I'm Edward Cullen." He said to dad, I just stood in the background with a smirk playing on my lips. They shook hands. "Bella and Violet won't be out too late.  They're just gonna play baseball with my family." He explained.

"Baseball?" Dad asked, Edward nodded.

"Yes sir, that's the plan." He said with a smile. What a suck up.

"Bella's gonna play baseball? Well, good luck with that." Dad told him, I just loved how he didn't say my name.

"I'll take good care of them, I promise." I quickly walked outside and into Edward's car like he was family, which he will be soon.

"Lets go, I don't want to hear you two awkwardly flirting the whole ride, ok?" I pointed to them from the backseat. Bella turned red and rolled her eyes while Edward just laughed it off and started the car.

We drove to a clearing in the woods and got out. I ran my hand through my hair and looked to the sky. Storm should be coming soon, storms have always been my favourite weather.

I walk over to the Cullen's, they had just started setting everything up, "Hey old man." I greeted Carlisle making him chuckle as I hug him.

"You're much older than me." He pointed out with a chuckle.

"Yes, but not in appearance." I said making him roll his eyes. I turned to Esme with a grin, "hey mama." She laughed and hugged me as well. Was this gonna be a constant thing? Getting hugs from every single person.
