Valeria Amaya still remembers the day Iron Man found her trembling in a dark corner of Baron Wolfgang von Strucker's defeated HYDRA base. Travelling to Sokovia with her parents, who were on a job to help the housing and social services in the war damaged city, Valeria ended up in the hands of HYDRA's men. The excruciating pain she felt every time the scepter was used on her is something that is hard to forget, hard to survive. The men had used her greatest weakness against her to make sure at least another human survived their experiments, promising she'd be able to see her parents again after she succeeded. Unbeknownst to them, when Valeria did survive, she knew her parents had been murdered. She felt it, she felt the disturbance. Valeria was only fourteen, orphaned, and now an enhanced individual.

Returning her home to her uncle, Manny, in Queens, Tony felt responsible for the girl. When he lost his parents only a few years older than her, there weren't many people there for him. Tony didn't want the same for Valeria, especially not with how lost she must feel with her new powers. Enrolling her into Midtown High School, Valeria avoided social circles, which she would have done anyways, while also training to tame and understand her powers with Rhodes and occasional Tony. But they both also wanted her to live the most normal life a teenager from New York could have, opting out in recruiting her help during the clash between the Avengers.

Two years later, now a junior in Midtown High School, Tony and Rhodes are left with no other choice but to seek out the "force senstive", as she insisted them to call her after watching one to many Star Wars films, Valeria Amaya, after they come face to face with perhaps the universe's biggest threat.

Our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man also comes face to face with Midtown's resident anti social gal who was now the other half of the newly assembled Young Avengers.

AUTHORS NOTE: welp hello here is me introducing a story that won't be written completely until after infinity war but i couldn't resist publishing this already. so basically it will take place in infinity war, i think i will write some chapters leading up to infinity war to explain val's relationship with tony, rhodes, and her uncle. also with her status in midtown high, sounds good?? so let's all prepare for our death that is infinity war that is in less than a month.
