THE WAR
TITAN
Everything had gone to utter complete hell in a span of two minutes. The guardians had been thrown into the unknown of the planet, with Peter struggling to save them from a devastating fall. Tony was struggling to recover from being thrown yards away by Thanos, whose actions of lifting his fist towards the sky made Valeria queazy. Flashes of visions swarmed through her mind, making her jump in realization of what was to come next.
The vibrations of the planet became stronger and stronger as the moon that Thanos was managing to bring in as a weapon began to be dangerously too close. Valeria took in a deep breath in, not daring to think twice about her following actions cause she may have backed out last minute had she. Letting the collapsing pieces of the moon reach the right distance away from her, Valeria lifted up both of her hands, measuring them to perfectly form a connection between her force telepathy and the moon.
"Valeria, no! Don't—"
"Tony, it's o—okay. I can do this." Tony knew he should probably fly up and try to deter some of the pieces or begin unleashing a counterattack on the mad titan, but watching Valeria single handily stop a moon that Thanos has brought to hurt them with the power of Infinity Stones was simply to hard to move past from. He worried that whatever it was that was helping Valeria do this would drain her out once again, but as he watched her throw the moon pieces down to topple Thanos in place with one swift movement of her hand, the worry dissolved.
After the action, Valeria brought her hands to her chest, trying to ease out her breathing. She knew that this was what she was supposed to do, Val was following the plan to perfection, but that didn't mean she wasn't surprised at what her powers were truly able to do. It made everything all so bittersweet.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Actually, I feel pretty bad freaking ass! I just stopped a moon and dropped it on that freak! I know it won't hold him off for long... but still!" Even though his face was hiding beneath his nanotech mask, Valeria knew Tony had at least a bit of a weak smile plastered on his lips. Despite still feeling scared shitless, Valeria didn't want to worry Tony any more than he already was.
"That isn't going to hold him off much longer." Strange's words served more as an order than a revelation, Valeria and Tony going opposite directions, but not before she gave him a reassuring smile and nod. He needed it, more than anyone could possibly understand. Lifting up from the ground to follow through with the fight sequence he knew was coming, Strange couldn't help but feel for the teenage girl. She was so young yet was doing what she knew had to be done while keeping it from those she loves. "Valeria?"
